Timeform on Theclockisticking

14:00 - BRAQUEUR D'OR (10) returns off a good mark having finished fourth in the Ladbroke Trophy at Newbury last season off 4 lb higher and gets the nod in a highly-competitive affair. Neil Mulholland holds a strong hand with Shantou Village and Doing Fine and they head the dangers.

14:35 - REDICEAN (1) made a good impression in his first season over hurdles last campaign, winning three of his four starts, only coming unstuck in the Triumph Hurdle at the Festival in March. He seemed unsuited by the testing conditions that day, though, and his record in small-field events is encouraging, so he is fancied to concede weight all round on his first start of the season under a rider who has a good record when riding fancied horses. Gumball looks the obvious danger.

15:10 - FOXTAIL HILL (5) returns to action 2 lb lower than when producing a relentless display from the front to land this event 12 months ago so it's feasible to think he can defend his crown in what looks like a fascinating race. The tough Bigmartre will make sure it's not all plain sailing and Tommy Silver is another one who makes his reappearance on an appealing mark.

15:45 - A really good handicap in which THECLOCKISTICKING (3) leaves the impression he'll relish this trip and gets the nod on the back of a good run in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow a fortnight ago but there are any number of dangers, headed by Pat Kelly's Dawn Raider, the thriving Timeforben and Notwhatiam, who made a winning start for Dan Skelton at Uttoxeter earlier this month.

16:20 - DINONS (1) has completed some fairly easy tasks this year, completing a four-timer at Perth in September, and for all this will be a sterner test, he is still expected to come out on top for the Gordon Elliott team. De Name Evades Me is feared most back from 6 months off.

16:55 - It could be worth chancing KNIGHT IN DUBAI (4) on his first start over fences. A useful performer over timber last season, he has already scored between the flags in Ireland and his yard sent out a debutant to land the listed novice chase at Chepstow a fortnight ago.

17:30 - Usually an informative event and ROMEO BROWN (14) gets the vote after his very promising third on debut in the New Year's Day bumper here. Strong Glance sets the standard on his fifth at Aintree in April and is part of a strong Fergal O'Brien challenge. Breaking Waves was impressive when winning at Huntingdon in March and could do even better this term.
