"Fergal O'Brien's charge showed enough to suggest he is on a good mark, and looks worth chancing in a contest his yard won 12 months ago..."

14:00 - BRILLARE MOMENTO (3) was just foiled on her reappearance 12 months ago and stands out on the form of her listed success at this course in April. She is fancied to regain the winning thread in this opening leg of the Placepot, with Blairs Cove preferred to Its All Guesswork for the forecast spot.

14:35 - MOVEWITHTHETIMES (5) won two of his four starts over timber last season, and signed off with a career-best when three quarters of a length second to Ballyandy in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury. A small setback then ruled him out of Cheltenham, but he is very much a chaser on looks and Paul Nicholls, who has a particularly good record in this race, can see his patience rewarded this term, with Movetimewiththetimes expected to land this before taking high rank as a novice chaser.

15:10 - ONE FORTY SEVEN (17) hasn't been seen for a while, but he has the profile of one likely to improve now handicapping and makes plenty of appeal for Placepot purposes in a very open race. POTTERS STORY (5), who often shaped last season as if a step up in trip would suit, and Cake de L'Isle are other lightly-raced sorts who likely have more to offer, while Get Home Now and Hallings Comet arrive in top form.

15:45 - FAGAN (3) matched his best hurdling form when opening his account in this sphere at Perth in July (Beat That held when falling at the last), and lost little caste in defeat when a close second at the same course last time. He can resume winning ways for the Gordon Elliot yard that has won two of last seven renewals of this race. Beat That is 5 lb better off now and rates the main danger.

16:20 - PETITE POWER (8) ran only respectably when fourth on his most recent outing over hurdles at Perth in April, but he is a much better chaser, and had shaped well on his previous start over fences at the same venue. Indeed, he probably would have finished second but for a bad mistake at the last there, from which he was unable to recover, but Fergal O'Brien's charge showed enough to suggest he is on a good mark, and looks worth chancing in a contest his yard won 12 months ago. He is joined in the Placepot by SPORTING BOY (1), who won well at Market Rasen on Saturday and looks sure to go well under a penalty.

16:55 - SLATE HOUSE (7) changed hands for £260,000 following a point win around a year ago and could easily be up to the task on Rules debut in what is not a deep maiden hurdle for the track. Dans Le Vent finished sixth in the Champion Bumper here in March and he should have derived plenty from his first stab over obstacles, so is feared most in this concluding leg of the Placepot.

17:30 - MAN OF PLENTY (11) arrives on the back of a couple of really solid efforts and h excelled himself when second from out of the weights the last time he tackled this C&D. He shades the vote in the finale from Cool Macavity, who will have his supporters as a ready last-time-out winner.
