17:55 - OREGON GIFT (2) has won his last two starts and a subsequent 4 lb rise for his latest win at Kempton last month looks manageable, as he was value for a bit extra (had run the day before and was in front for a long time). Luv U Whatever is set an easier task than last time and his apprentice has won on him before so he is taken to finish second. Marshall Aid rarely runs a bad race and he may fill third spot.
18:30 - MIRACLE WORKS (4) caught the eye when runner-up to a potentially useful sort at Kempton last time and he seems sure to improve for that experience. He is fancied to go close for an in-form yard, though he has a few interesting and unexposed opponents, most notably FAKHOOR (1). He finished runner-up in both his starts last season, latest over this C&D in November, and he looks well up to winning a race of this nature. Owen Burrows has made a good side to the season and Fakhoor needs keeping on side also.
19:05 - It could be worth taking a chance on VISIONARY (1), who should be sharper following his reappearance in listed company on heavy ground at Doncaster last month. He can boast a good record on the all-weather, and makes his belated handicap debut off an attractive mark and the booking of James Doyle also adds further to his appeal. Dark Side Dream failed to fire on all cylinders last time but will be a danger to all if on-song this time, while Maakaasib also merits respect.
19:35 - LANCELOT DU LAC (4) boasts a terrific strike rate on the all-weather (8-17) and is taken to resume winning ways after finding conditions perhaps a bit too testing at Doncaster last month. The eight-year-old looked at least as good as ever when scoring at Wolverhampton previously and is marginally preferred to Mubtasim, who will be a big threat if taking to this surface. Mazzini and Double Up should be on the premises, too.
20:05 - LOVE DREAMS (2) bounced right back to his best despite meeting with defeat at Newmarket nine days ago and, with his prominent style of racing a real asset at this venue, he is fancied to go close now equipped with first-time blinkers. OWER FLY (5) also shaped well last time, beaten only by a well-handicapped sort who bounced back to form, and the return to seven furlongs here should suit. He looks as good as ever at present and another bold bid is expected.
20:35 - LUNA ECLIPSE (2) is firmly on the progressive path now, winning her last two starts on the all-weather, latest over this C&D from 7 lb lower. He was sent for home turning into the straight, showing his liking for the step up to this trip, perhaps winning with a bit more in hand than the half-length margin suggests. There should be more to come from him and he is fully expected to complete a hat-trick. Ode To Autumn is also bidding for a three-timer and is feared most in what looks a good race for the grade.
21:05 - SECRET ART (1) made an encouraging return at Kempton last month, and has been given a chance by the handicapper. Admittedly, he failed to build on that at Newmarket last time, but that was much more competitive than this, and the smaller field here will suit, too. He is expected to resume winning ways at the main expense of Lacan, who has a good record on the all-weather and is proving consistent at the minute.
