Timeform take you through the card at Chelmsford on Saturday evening...

"...caught the eye when third on his debut here two weeks ago..."

Timeform on Special Mission

16:30 - KINGI COMPTON (7) remains a maiden after seven starts and may not be entirely straightforward, but there is certainly a case to be made for him as he bids to belatedly get off the mark this afternoon. Indeed, he has been right in the mix at the finish on his last two starts and would appear to hold obvious form claims if putting it all together this afternoon, dropping into a 0-65 for the first time and with Thomas Greatrex, who has a 50% strike rate when riding for Archie Watson, taking a valuable 5 lb off his back.

17:00 - TRUE BELIEF (7) seemed totally ill at ease on the track when last of seven at Epsom in June, but he had previously shaped with plenty of promise at York in May and, having been gelded subsequently, he is well worth another chance to get back on the up. Fellow Godolphin representative Dubai Luxury and Al Messila can also figure.

17:30 - SPECIAL MISSION (4) caught the eye when third on his debut here two weeks ago, forced to deliver his challenge from further back than ideal in a steadily-run race and never nearer than the two lengths he was beaten at the finish, having not been given at all a hard time. He looks sure to improve with that initial experience under his belt, especially stepping up two furlongs in trip, and is taken to add to David Simcock's fine strike rate (20%) at Chelmsford, with the more battle-hardened pair Aspire Tower and Massam heading the list of dangers.

18:00 - LANDUE (7) takes a sharp rise in class and must compete from 2 lb out of the handicap under a penalty, but he's absolutely thriving and was well on top at Kempton on Tuesday, so further success may well be forthcoming. Elegiac is perhaps the pick of the Mark Johnston trio, with Stream Song completing the shortlist.

18:30 - MONUMENTAL MAN (4) has a bit to find at the weights with the likes of Mujassam and Suzi's Connoisseur, but he's an uncomplicated and reliable operator, which counts for a lot at this level, so he's the percentage call in this penultimate leg of the Placepot.

19:00 - YOUNG JOHN (1) has been resurgent of late, winning by a wide margin for the second start running at Newcastle on Wednesday, and he will be very hard to beat again from just 2 lb higher. The likes of Crystal Casque, Showmethedough and Blessed To Empress can battle it out for minor honours.

19:30 - JABAROUT (3) justified support to make a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month and this lightly-raced three-year-old can defy a 5 lb rise. Squire and Magojiro are feared most.
