16:45 - SAY THE WORD (6) was badly in need of the experience on debut at Wolverhampton 17 days ago, but he ran to a fair level to grab second, only beaten by the virtue of being intimidated by the winner edging across. He is sure to improve, and with Andrea Atzeni booked, a man with a 37% strike rate on favourites over the past five seasons, he gets a confident vote to go one better.

17:15 - COLLECT CALL (4) ran a solid race on her first start on the all-weather over C&D 3 weeks ago, only getting picked up by an improving winner close home, and she can pick up a deserved win in this company. Winter Light has held her own in decent nurseries the last twice and is a big player back down in grade. Her stablemate Pretty Eyes is an interesting newcomer.

17:45 - The 3-y-os LANDUE (6) and Gemini could fight this out, with preference for Marcus Tregoning's colt who was value for extra when making it 3 wins from his last 4 starts at Kempton. A 6 lb rise is unlikely to prevent him from following up, and he gets the vote to go in again with more to come still. Hope Is High could also make her presence felt.

18:15 - SALUTE THE SOLDIER (6) was strong in the betting on his most recent start at Lingfield in May after 6 months off, but he wasn't seen to best effect that day, getting caught in a poor position. Following a gelding operation, he should prove to be ahead of his mark now sent into handicap company. Dark Side Dream and Acrux are other key players.

18:45 - CARVELAS (1) proved as least as good as ever to get off the mark for his current connections here last time, coming wide and winning a shade cosily, staying on to lead inside the final furlong. This further trip looks within reach, and he's taken to follow up. Earthly and Seventii are also considered in an open race.

19:15 - COACHELLA (4) has run crackers at Kempton the last twice, performances which more than added to the belief that he's not set for a stay in this bottom rung of handicaps. He is chanced in the hope he carries on the good work back at this track. Squire can cash in his reduced mark soon, while Zahirah has a race in her too.

19:45 - EDGE (1) is threatening to come good soon, having just failed to end his losing run off 2 lb lower at Wolverhampton last time. He's been going like the best horse in the weights for his last couple of runs, and he gets the vote to pick up a deserved success at this lowly level. Mans Not Trot is the biggest danger after catching the eye when third from a wide draw at Kempton.

20:15 - IMPART (10) followed up in good style at Brighton last time out, two races which were a good level for the grade under Liam Jones and he is taken to get the hat-trick up. Lalania seems sure to give it another good shot, while Rockies Spirit has dropped to a mark he could cash in from soon.
