Timeform take you through the card at Chelmsford on Wednesday.
17:55 - This looks a good opening for INCONCEIVABLE (5) to open her account at the third attempt. This well-bred filly caught the eye on her recent reappearance under a considerate ride at Newbury last month and as her odds suggest, she should be hard to beat, especially with this even longer trip set to unlock further improvement.
18:25 - Unlike the first race, this has a more competitive look to it. CULTURED KNIGHT (5) bounced back from a lesser effort on turf when a good second at Wolverhampton last time, unlucky to bump into a progressive rival, and returned to the scene of his sole win, he looks sure to go close. SAVE MY BACON (8) is another with a good course record and is also worth mentioning having slipped 2 lb below her last winning mark.
18:55 - Several unexposed fillies are on show here, but the pick could well be ILLAUNMORE (5), who shaped encouragingly on return over C&D last month, making headway when carried right early in the straight and considerately handled after. The two who beat her home are very promising in their own right, and the form is working out, so she looks to have leading claims. PAVILLON (8) looked promising when making a winning debut at Kempton in November and she is another who needs keeping on side.
19:25 - MOUNT TAHAN (5) ran well above himself when third in a minor event (from unfavourable terms) at Thirsk last month and given the handicapper hasn't reacted to that performance he has to be high on the shortlist in an open handicap. THAT IS THE SPIRIT (1) made a winning reappearance over C&D last month and he is still fairly treated on his peak efforts, so is another to throw into the mix.
19:55 - Sir Mark Prescott has made a flying start to the new season and ST MICHEL (1) could be the one to focus on here. He was very progressive in handicaps last year, winning four times up to 2m, and though he was a little disappointing when last seen in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket, this well-bred four-year-old is entitled to progress again this season, and he could hardly be in better hands to do so.
20:25 - ELUCIDATION (4) showed a lot of promise at two, and he is probably worth forgiving a below-par reappearance in a notoriously hot three-year-old handicap at Newmarket last month, that just his third career start after all, so he is taken to resume his progress and kick start his season.
20:55 - The Newmarket maiden which GRIEG HALL (5) finished fifth in on debut last month is proving very strong form, producing four next time out winners. He made an encouraging start, though a lack of both fitness and experience told late on, but this well-made colt looks a sure-fire improver, and he is expected to take plenty of beating.
