14:25 - THREE SAINTS BAY (6) probably paid the price for early exuberance over seven furlongs at Musselburgh last time and looks up to winning a race of this type now dropping a furlong in trip. Hugo Palmer's newcomer Altered Method is related to plenty of speed on the dam's side and could be the danger.
15:00 - Barford is down in class here but doesn't really seem to be progressing and could be worth taking on at the head of the market with EL CHAPO (8), who tanked through his last start over a mile at Thirsk and should have no problem dropping back to seven furlongs here, representing a yard whose two-year-old handicappers are going particularly well at present.
15:35 - BAHUTA ACHA (4) has plenty to find with Undercover Brother on the bare form of his penultimate start at Ripon, but he was given a considerate ride that day on his first start back off a break, and has since run well at Carlisle, meeting all manner of trouble before coming home to finish fifth. The drop back to five furlongs should be fine judged on the speed he showed to finish second over the trip at Ripon earlier in the season, and he looks a very interesting runner.
16:10 - Brandon Castle is clearly going well now he is in the care of Archie Watson, but he has a couple of hard races recently and now finds himself up 2 lb in the weights for finishing second at Musselburgh last time, so overall he looks a 'gettable' favourite for Placepot purposes. The two to take him on with could be the three-year-old pair of SHERIFF GARRETT (7), who wasn't seen to best effect in a messy race here last time, and FULHAM (4), who is unexposed and should have come on for his run at Haydock last time.
16:45 - Wotabreeze took advantage of a big drop in grade last time, and may not find things as easy in this better company. The three-year-old JE SUIS CHARLIE (3) could be the best option, having shown improved form to win here last time.
17:20 - Ambrosia isn't one to trust (wandered and flashed her tail under pressure last time) and GUIDING PASSION (6) looks a good option against her, having run a fair race on debut earlier this season.
17:55 - The first of a pair of tricky handicaps. Bernie's Boy has run well here on his last two starts (for Roger Fell) and should do so again despite having had a chance of scenery in the meantime.
18:25 - Melaniemillie was disappointing last time but had been running well prior to that, and should go close if returning to the sort of form that saw her win and finish a close second here in August.
