14:20 - Florencio looks the most straightforward option in our opening maiden here, after showing much-improved form when second last time at Bath, and with more expected now in a moderate contest, he is worth banking on.
14:50 - A decent pace is expected for this contest and that should bring out the best in the hold up horses Pour La Victoire and Storm Lightning, who filled the first two spots in a race at this course, also ran at a good gallop, last time out.
15:20 - Goodwood Zodiac was seemingly ironically unsuited by the track at Goodwood last time, and although his Epsom second prior to that still sets the standard here, he could be worth taking on for Placepot purposes with Frock Coat, who will have come on plenty for his debut for Charlie Appleby, and Prince of Arran, who was just edged out at Epsom last time and is the type to improve for experience.
15:50 - Lilian Baylis needed every yard of the 10 furlongs at Pontefract to win two starts back, and this may not be enough of a stamina test to see her at her best, with just one confirmed pace maker in the six-runner field. The progressive Zaaneh is therefore preferred, stepping up to a distance that should suit.
16:20 - Idle Talker won with plenty in hand at Chepstow last time, and is narrowly preferred to Mistamel, who was perhaps flattered by the result when winning a muddling three-runner race last time in which the odds-on favourite dissapointed.
16:50 - After disappointing under a penalty at Nottingham it is worth giving another chance to Essaka here, remembering how impressive he was on his first start for Tony Carroll when winning over C&D last month. Vincentti has been a consistent horse this season and should be able to make the places again here, although he is obviously vulnerable for win purposes on the back of a long losing streak.
