Alan Dudman was on the money with Lahore on Wednesday and signs off from his week's tipping by targetting the two Group 2 races at Doncaster on Thursday....
"I've tipped her twice in the column with unlucky defeats in the Ebor and the Northumberland Plate. She hit [1.25] at Newcastle and was given a great ride by Josephine Gordon that day, but was just outstayed."
Nyaleti was priced up early for this on Tuesday as the 5/2 favourite, and with a rating of 113, she's the big one to beat here.
But I want to take her on with Karl Burke's Laurens. She's the up-and-comer.
I liked her when she scored on her debut at the track in July. She travelled well and showed a nice piece of acceleration from a steady pace to post quite an impressive display.
She's bred for a mile and more, and she was outpaced when upped in grade last time to Group 3 level in the Prix du Calvados at Deauville. She wasn't beaten far behind a Freddy Head horse, showing that the 7f round there was a bit too sharp that day.
A step up in trip today will really suit, and her trainer's juveniles have been in great nick. She's a powerful filly too, and one I am looking forward to.
Despite not winning on two occasions for me, I'm such a fan of the Godolphin filly Natural Scenery - and at 4/1 on the Sportsbook, she gets my vote again for the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes.
I've tipped her twice in the column with unlucky defeats in the Ebor and the Northumberland Plate. She hit [1.25] at Newcastle and was given a great ride by Josephine Gordon that day, but was just outstayed. Then she met all sorts of traffic problems at York. She might have won that race, but maybe it's pocket talking.
Trainer Saeed bin Suroor opts for Jim Crowley today in the saddle.
She's entered in just about everything, and she has what I love in a stayer - a bit of speed. She travels brilliantly.
Natural Scenery has also been allotted 51kg for the Melbourne Cup, and she's a [55.0] chance for that on the Exchange.
She is well up to winning a Group 2, and she seems to be taking her racing really well these days. She acts on soft, but also has form on good, so we don't have to worry too much about the forecast. Which is a relief after this week!
