Bets Of The Day: Will Skelton's chase debutant last home?

Alan Dudman drew a blank yesterday, but goes again with two more bets at Lingfield and Sedgefield on Tuesday - including a proposed short price in-running lay...
"Other rivals will have stronger stamina claims, and all of his opponents handle soft/heavy ground. He could be a low-risk in-play lay, with one nagging doubt about him lasting home in the grueling conditions."Lay Arthamint @ 1.251/4 in-running in the 15:30 at Lingfield
13:50 Sedgefield - Oppose the favourite with Smith's charge
The market leader Summer Storm hasn't really progressed from his initial promise, and I wouldn't be at the head of the queue asking for evens on Rebecca Menzies' runner.
I'm far more interested in Sue Smith's Good Vibration at 3/1, who makes his second start over hurdles in the north east.
There wasn't an awful lot from his debut at Southwell three weeks ago, but it was his first outing for seven months, and he switches to a softer surface here - so there's every chance he could improve, as at least he'll be fitter.
This looks a poor race, and the favourite is beatable. Smith landed this contest in 2012 with the giant Grate Fella, who also failed to show anything on his debut but stepped up considerably in this three years ago.
15:30 Lingfield - Make a mint with Artha
Okay, making a mint might be stretching it (but headline writer's license was required), and I haven't just included 'Artha' in order to make reference to Olive from 'On The Buses'. Although you might need her thick-lens glasses to see where they are at Lingfield on Tuesday as the weather down south has been wretched.
Arthamint makes his chase debut on Tuesday and looking at the markets overnight; he was around 2.01/1 favourite.
He has failed to win in five attempts over hurdles and his best run came recently over 2m at Uttoxeter. Trainer Dan Skelton opted for different tactics in his last couple of efforts as previously he'd been quite keen in races from the front.
However there are a few unknown factors here; 1) the fences 2) unproven in heavy and 3) the step up in trip.
Other rivals will have stronger stamina claims, and all of his opponents handle soft/heavy ground. He could be a low-risk in-play lay, with one nagging doubt about him lasting home in the gruelling conditions.
