Nick Shiambouros returns with two selections from Redcar and Windsor...
"The stable can get one ready, and this individual ticks plenty of boxes"
Soft a tough nut
15:35 Redcar - Soft Cover
Soft Cover can make a winning debut for trainer Willie Haggas.
This well related Shamardal filly is a half-sister to Magical Sight and comes from the family of Enticing. She has plenty of speed in her pedigree, and was bred by veteran owners Roy and Gretchen Jackson who also bred the great Barbaro. The stable can get one ready, and this individual ticks plenty of boxes. She is trading at 5.49/2.
Falathaat heads the market at 3.8514/5. She put in a much improved effort when chasing home Fox Power at Wolverhampton last September, but is untried on turf. She has a lovely pedigree and should have more to offer. Main danger to the selection.
Tin will be tough
18:30 Windsor - The Tin Man
I shall look no further than The Tin Man in this Listed contest.
This high class performer has three Group 1 races to his name, and won this race last year. He beat a top class field to take down the Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock, and had the likes of Harry Angel in his rear view mirror. Trainer James Fanshawe will have him ready to do himself justice and should take this on route to Royal Ascot. At present he is trading at 2.8615/8 on the exchange.
Barraquero is worth a mention. This lightly raced individual won the Richmond at Goodwood a couple of years ago, but has had a couple of setbacks. He is one to keep on the right side, and looks saver material at around 24.023/1.
