Nick Shiambouros returns with two selections from Southwell and Lingfield...
"She is improving with racing, and should not be inconvenienced by the surface switch"
Make the Bold decision
14:30 Southwell - Bold Plan
Bold Plan is my idea of the winner of this interesting contest.
This Irish point winner finished second to Ecu De La Noverie on hurdles debut at Newbury last month. He ran on really well on the run-in, and grabbed a place near the finish. Last spring he finished second to Samarquand in a bumper that has thrown plenty of winners. I think he is open to further improvement and is reasonably priced at [3.6] on the exchange.
Rouge Vif looks like the main danger. He finished second to Newtown Boy at Hereford after attempting to make all. Similar tactics are likely to be employed again. At present he is trading at [4.6] on the exchange.
Society a real Star
14:50 Lingfield - Society Star
Society Star should go close in this novice stakes.
This filly put in an improved effort when finishing third to Leodis Dream at Wolverhampton last month. She held every chance a furlong from home, but failed to quicken near the finish. She is improving with racing, and should not be inconvenienced by the surface switch. At present she is trading at [4.4] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Sandridge Lad heads the market at [4.3] on the exchange. He has been on the go since the end of July, but retains his form well. He has to give plenty of weight away, but brings a solid level of form to the table and is the main danger to the selection.
