Bets Of The Day: Neville's Cross upset minded

Neville's Cross Chepstow
Today's best bet Neville's Cross runs at Chepstow

Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday with another winner. Nick returns with two decent priced selections from Musselburgh and Chepstow...

"I think he is open to a fair bit of improvement, and should have no stamina limitations"

Back Neville’s Cross .5pt at BSP in the 15:45 at Chepstow

Enlighten to shine

12:40 Musselburgh - Enlighten

Enlighted could run well at a big price in this novices' hurdle.

This gelding finished down the field behind Playa Blanco in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last season. He refused to settle and ultimately paid the price three flights from home. He is best judged on his previous effort in a bumper when making all at a controlled pace to win easily. I am prepared to give him another chance at his current price of 14.013/1.

Ashington is the odds-on favourite at 1.684/6 on the exchange. He was a wide margin winner at Stratford last month and will make a bold bid under a penalty.

Don't Cross Nev

15:45 Chepstow - Neville's Cross

I am going to take a chance with Neville's Cross in this maiden hurdle.

This four-year-old finished second to Dakota Beat in a bumper at Hexham last month. He ran on nicely in the closing stages, but the winner was long gone and had to settle for a place. He failed to complete on his previous start in a point, but was heavily supported in the market. I think he is open to a fair bit of improvement, and should have no stamina limitations. He is worth backing in the win and place market at BSP.

Emma Lavelle sends out favourite Thunderstruck who is trading at 3.7511/4. He finished a creditable second to Enrilo at Wincanton last month, and should have more to offer.
