Bets of the Day: The lightly raced Rebecca can Rock Windsor tonight

The Final Furlong
If fit enough Rebecca Rocks should be hard to beat tonight

Alan got off the mark yesterday as his best bet of the day won at Stratford, today sees the start of the Windsor Monday evening meetings and our man has a selection from there and Sedgfield...

"She is an unexposed filly and running off a mark of 76 could be very well in."

Back Rebecca Rocks @ 11/4 in the 17:50 Windsor

17:50 Windsor - Back Rebecca Rocks @ 11/4

Eight runners look set to take part in this Class 4 Handicap and assuming she is fit, I think that Rebecca Rocks for the Henry Candy team has an outstanding chance of taking it. The four-year-old filly made all to win on handicap debut at Goodwood in May 2017 and she's not been seen since, but plenty more is expected from her this season and she can get off to a winning start off just 6lbs higher than her Goodwood winning mark. She has only ran four times and two of those runs were after 125 day absence and 210 days, where she ran respectably finishing 2nd and 3rd so she does go well fresh. She is an unexposed filly and running off a mark of 76, she could be very leniently treated, I think connections think she is far better than her current mark and providing she is fit enough she should take all the beating here.

She is currently sharing favouritism with Robert Cowell's charge and top weight Leo Minor, he is yet to win in four starts for this yard after arriving from Ballydoyle, and they have been a bit of a mixed bag. His latest third at Chelmsford was probably his best effort to date and he won't mind a return to turf, but I think off a mark of 83 he is going to have to improve again and off this mark I am not sure he is capable of that.

18:40 Sedgfield - Back Frankie Ballou @ 9/4

You simply can't ignore Frankie Ballou at Sedgfield as he continues to impress after making it three course and distance wins from his last four outings over the last 10 days. Last time out Jo Foster's battling nine-year-old won easily last time by seven lengths, he is enjoying the time of his life in his later years and although he's 7lb higher today, it's hard to see that rise in the weights putting a stop to his current form, he clearly loves it here and looks sure to go well again.

It would have been four out of his last four starts if it wasn't for Oak Vintage as he broke up Frankie Ballou's winning run here in March and meets that rival on the same terms this evening. But in his latest start he was pulled up at Kelso after making too many jumping errors and you feel that will have hurt his confidence, if he is to repeat the win over Frankie Ballou tonight then he will have to improve his jumping significantly.
