No illusion here
18:15 Windsor - Mild Illusion
Mild Illusion should go close in this novice stakes.
This filly ran well on debut when finishing second to Special Secret at Newbury last month.
Despite missing the break she, put in some solid work in the closing stages and finished the race with good energy. This was a promising effort and the experience will not be lost on her. It is worth noting that the third place finisher Ocasio Cortez was not beaten all that far in the Weatherbys Super Sprint on Saturday. At present she is trading at 5.39/2 on the exchange.
Mitty's Smile is the favourite at 2.447/5 on the exchange. She finished a close fourth to Odyssey Girl at Newbury on debut, and represents a stable that does well with two-year-olds. She has every right to improve but looks short enough.
Time To React
20:20 Windsor - Reaction Time
I am going to take a chance with Reaction Time in this maiden.
This son of Dubawi finished fourth to Jamih on debut just over a year ago at Sandown. He displayed signs of inexperience, but finished the race with purpose. It is significant that connections have decided to campaign him as a four-year-old, rather than send him to the sales. He clearly has ability, and should win a race of this nature. At present he is trading at 17.016/1 in the Each-Way market which is more than fair.
Two Bids looks a danger. This beautifully bred son of Dalakhani finished a promising third to Nette Rousse on debut and should know a lot more today. His Dam Echelon was a Group 1 winner. At present he is trading at 3.7511/4 on the exchange.
