Both of Nick's selections finished second yesterday. He will be hoping for better luck with two more fancies from the NH meeting at Market Rasen...
"I was impressed with his attitude, and has every right to move forward"
13:50 Market Rasen - Faldo
Faldo should make his presence felt in this interesting Juvenile hurdle.
This gelding created a favourable impression when finishing second to the progressive Laskadine at Warwick earlier this month. He put in some good work in the closing stages, and finished the race with good energy. I was impressed with his attitude, and has every right to move forward. He is well worth an interest at 8.07/1.
Praeceps was withdrawn from a race at Sandown on Saturday and merits respect. I gave him a favourable mention after his promising second to Song For Someone at Newbury, and is reasonably priced at 7.06/1.
Longer trip will suit Muratello
14:55 Market Rasen - Muratello
Muratello looks like the horse to beat in this novices' hurdle.
This novice ran very well on hurdles debut when finishing third to Mister Fisher in a Grade 2 event at Haydock earlier this month. He kept on well on the run to the last, but could not get to grips with the front two. I think he is open to a good deal of improvement, and will be suited by the extra yardage. At present he is trading at 2.8815/8.
Clarendon Street is the obvious danger. He was a wide margin winner at short odds at Wetherby earlier this month, and has plenty of scope for plenty of improvement. At present he is trading at 2.3211/8 on the exchange.
