Bets Of The Day: Kilbrook ready to graduate

Kilbrook Newbury
Today's best bet Kilbrook runs at Newbury

Nick Shiambouros hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with a couple of winners from Newbury...

"I think he is open to significant improvement, and should go close on hurdles debut"

Back Kilbrook at 5.24/1 in the 13:30 at Newbury

Kilbrook for Jonjo

13:30 Newbury - Kilbrook

Kilbrook should make his presence felt in this interesting novices' hurdle.

This gelding finished an excellent third to Make A Believer in a bumper at Chepstow last month. He looked well held half a mile from home, but found his stride and finished strongly to force a three way photo. I think he is open to significant improvement, and should go close on hurdles debut. At present he is trading at 5.24/1 on the exchange.

Sir Valentine is the market leader at 3.052/1 on the exchange. He came to grief at the last behind Alloftheginjoints at Chepstow last month. He looked beaten at the time, but it was a creditable effort nonetheless. He is the main danger.

Floressa looks special

14:35 Newbury - Floressa

Floressa should prove difficult to beat in this decent looking contest.

This filly was most impressive when beating Fejoada at Worcester last month. She cruised to the front three flights from home and came home in a canter. This likeable filly has a bright future ahead of her, and can take this on the way to better things. At present she is trading at 2.56/4 on the exchange which is more than fair.

Silver Forever is the obvious threat. She opened her account in good style when beating Queens Cave at Chepstow last month, and clearly has more to offer. She will make a bold bid, but I think the selection is a cut above. At present she is trading at 2.829/5 on the exchange.
