Timeform take you through the card at Ayr on Tuesday evening...

"...the 6 lb he receives from previous winner Fognini may prove to be decisive over this longer trip which should suit on breeding (dam a 1m winner in Italy)."

Timeform on Liquid Lunch

17:40 - The Richard Fahey-trained LIQUID LUNCH (3) did well to finish fourth on debut at Nottingham a fortnight ago given how green he was early, so he looks an ideal candidate to up his game markedly on his second start. That coupled with the 6 lb he receives from previous winner Fognini may prove to be decisive over this longer trip which should suit on breeding (dam a 1m winner in Italy).

18:10 - NORTHERN SOCIETY (5) is progressing gradually, doing well to finish as close as she did after a slow start when second on nursery debut at Hamilton on Saturday, and races off 1 lb lower here. He's a few lbs clear on Timeform ratings and is fancied to see off Macho Lady and Caramel Curves who make most appeal of the others.

18:45 - Timeform top-rated MERRY BANTER (2) will win one of these handicaps when allowed to dominate, and that scenario could be forthcoming here if he can see off Areen Faisal early on. Dark Defender is tricky but this is a drop in class, while Rego Park Lady demands consideration following a big career best last time.

19:15 - The Karl Burke-trained PLAY MATE (1) has a penalty for her recent win at Wolverhampton, but the step up to 7f will suit her well, and she is taken to get the better of Gateway, for whom a step down in trip might not be ideal.

19:50 - It's easy to forgive EQUITANT's (6) heavy defeat last time given he stumbled very early on and gave his rider a hefty whack in the face, and the form of his Carlisle win prior to that marks him down as well handicapped. Ziarah arrives on the up and is a big threat if carrying on the good work on turf, while recent Chester runner-up Logi should give his running again.

20:20 - ALABANZA (6) created a really favourable impression when coming from the rear to land a handicap over 1¼m at this track a month ago and there's probably still a fair bit in his locker yet. He was well backed to win last time and might be one to following now he's having his stamina drawn out. Yarmouth winner Snowdon was also impressive last time and is the clear second choice.

20:50 - ANA LICHIOUS landed a gamble on just her second start for this yard at Hamilton last time and remains well treated on old form. Warfare came very close to ending his losing run at Newcastle recently and is feared most ahead of John Caesar, who took a step back in the right direction at Beverley 2 weeks ago.
