Timeform's Placepot attempt on Friday comes from Ascot.
"He is worth including here along with Winner Massagot, who could be leniently treated off a BHA mark of 123, based on how he performed in Grade 1 company at Aintree last season."
13:00 - Krugermac has been supported in the market this morning, and looks an interesting prospect on his first start for the in-form Gary Moore yard, after finishing a clear second to a well-touted Mullins horse in a Punchestown bumper last season. Krugermac is related to some high-class chasers, and there is every chance he will prove a good prospect over obstacles.
13:30 - Thomas Brown was comfortably the best of these four over hurdles, and with the build of a chaser, big things are expected of him in this sphere. El Namoose made an encouraging start to life over fences despite his Flat pedigree when second at Huntingdon last time, and with this slight drop back in trip set to suit, is also worth including.
14:05 - Kilcrea Vale looked an exciting prospect when bolting up at Market Rasen, and can continue Nicky Henderson's good record in this race, which he has won with some useful types in recent times. It would be a surprise not to see him build on that effort, and he looks a real banker for a place at least.
14:40 - Ballinvarig ran just about his best race of last season on his reappearance, and arriving here just 3 lbs higher than when his last winning mark, looks a solid option in what is a tricky race. Venetia Williams has won the last two runnings of this race and Tenor Nivernais is also worth including, making his reappearance from his last winning mark.
15:15 - Achille is one to watch out for, now upped in trip and making his debut for a yard who has had plenty of success with similar recruits. Sands Cove relished his first try at this sort of trip when making a winning start for James Evans last time at Market Rasen, and may yet have more to offer.
15:50 - Cloonacool shaped better than the bare result when fourth over C&D last time out, after making a mistake at a crucial point in the race. He is worth including here along with Winner Massagot, who could be leniently treated off a BHA mark of 123, based on how he performed in Grade 1 company at Aintree last season.
