A big price expected for today's 80-20...

Today's 80-20 is Marcus in the 13:00 at Exeter.

Back in February this gelded son of Silver Patriarch routed the opposition at a huge price on quite testing ground in a Novice Hurdle at Wincanton.

The form of that race has worked out reasonably well with the runner-up going on to score and looking good in a hot race at Sandown in March.

Today's race is dependant on how he takes to the larger obstacles but the impression I have is that he is open to further improvement over fences.

This race is quite competitive and with that in mind coupled with the fact that some big stables are represented I believe we had a good chance of landing the 80-20 at a big price.

Today's 80-20 is Soviet Sceptre in the 13:50 at Hereford.

This plater has some good looking form in the book for this poor grade as has a victory over Arthur's Dream who does not look the most resilient.

The favourite has been off the course a long time and his appearance in this low grade must give backers of this short price horse cause for concern. In addition the riders claims a valuable 7lb which could make all the difference giving Soviet sceptre a very good chance of landing the 80-20 at a fair price.

Today's 80-20 is Bobby Gee in the 13:50 at Warwick.

This large field is bigger in quantity rather than quality so I don't think that there are that many in here with a serious chance of winning.

Bobby Gee made his racecourse debut in a decent bumper at Aintree just over a year ago finishing fourth behind Super Nick .Since that debut Bobby Gee has had a couple of creditable thirds in the context of this race. Given some improvement we should have a fair chance of landing the 80-20 at a decent price.

Today's 80-20 is Daltaban in the 12:40 at Folkestone.

This Rainbow Quest gelding has been steadily improving with each start since resuming his career from France. First time out for his new conditioner at Chepstow in a hot juvenile the headgear did not help his cause at all. In the circumstances he ran well behind the easy winner who has since gone on to follow up in a good race at Cheltenham the other day.

Next time out the headgear was discarded and he ran on really well in a good race at Sandown behind Lemon Silk. Today's race is quite warm to but Daltaban has shown me enough to suggest that we have a sporting chance of landing the 80-20 at a really good price.

Today's 80-20 is Carry On Cleo in the 13:20 at Kempton Park. On her best level of form this daughter of First Trump should go very close here against some poor opposition. She also has been finishing her races willingly strongly suggesting that today's extra yardage is just what the doctor ordered. In the context of this race her last effort in a nursery reads very well. This leads me to believe that with the trip and recent form in our favour we have a solid chance of landing the 80-20 at a fair price.
