Today's 80/20 is Garrulous in the 14:15 at Taunton.

This gelded son of Lomitas has some pretty solid form in the book including a good fifth to the smart Liberate a year ago.

Today's race is considerably easier and the ground will also certainly be in his favour. Garrulous has been off the course for a while but the stable is in fine form and he will not be lacking in fitness.

The favourite is represented by a big yard so that will help the price of the selection and give us a good chance of landing the 80/20 at a solid price.

Today's 80-20 is Smokey Rye in the 18:.50 at Kempton Park.

The application of blinkers has bought some improvement for this daughter of Bertolini and she showed solid form last time out behind Mafasina at Lingfield.

Earlier in the year she showed some really smart form in a very hot maiden at Goodwood behind Fashion Rocks.

Now that the trainer has found some improvement in her we have a fair chance of landing the 80-20 at a solid price.

Today's 80-20 is Chip N Pin in the 13:35 at Sedgedield.

Although winless after 15 starts, in the context of this race, this filly by Erhaab must merit consideration in this race particularly as she ran quite well at Hexham when the ground was not really in her favour last time out.

She looked the likely winner going to the last but she just ran out of stamina before fading to finish fifth. With the prospect of better ground today Chip N Pin should give us a good chance of landing the 80-20 at a fair price.

Of the three starts this gelded son of Kingmambo has had, his last effort in April was by far the best piece of form in his career when second to the well thought-of The Other One.

The winner has since gone on to boost the form with a victory a few days ago. Given normal improvement we should have a sporting chance of landing the 80-20 at a good price.

    Dear Nick

    Thanks for landing the 80/20 at kempton tonight with Smokey Rye. I follow your selections each day and thank you for your commitment even when your on your well earned holidays.
    However I look forward to your return from LaLa land as my betting bank has took a downward path.
    I selected at Kempton Fresh Mint in the 8.20 and Mixing in the 9.20. I looked at Royal Guest in the 8.50 but decided to sit out and watch.
