Timeform take you through the card at Chelmsford on Tuesday...

17:20 - A wide open contest to start and with a lot of the field being inconsistent, it looks worth siding with PRINCE ROCK (13). He has run with credit the last twice at this track, which he has a good record overall at, with his best run coming over C&D when finishing second last year. The drop back to this trip looks a good move and from his good draw, he can jump and race handier than usual to use his extra stamina to good effect. Catapult is also better than he showed last time and if putting that behind him, he would have a chance.

17:50 - HECTOR LOZA (4) ran to a fairly useful level first time up at Kempton and shaped as if that experience would stand him in good stead to take a similar event. He didn't fully settle on debut but rallied in the last furlong to only go down by half a length to a horse whose next start was straight into listed company. With normal progress under his belt, he could take a bit of beating. Market strength around Vasari would make him on interest on his debut for powerful connections.

18:20 - The form between Intuitive and ALKARAAMA (7) last time over C&D looks to be what will come to the fore again today and a chance is taken on the latter to confirm the placings. Alkaraama arguably had the run of the race that day as he raced closer to the pace and whilst he didn't put the race to bed quickly, he was keen early on suggesting that a stronger pace would have suited him better and with that a possibility today, he is taken to continue his unbeaten record on artificial surfaces at the expense of Intuitive.

18:50 - PHILAMUNDO (4) has an excellent record around Chelmsford City with one blip to his name when trying a longer trip, which was soon an idea that connections dropped. His run style needs luck and he didn't get that last time when forced to make his move wide. A step up in trip, back to his last winning distance, looks the right move and with him on a competitive mark, he can make his presence felt.

19:20 - With a lot of powerful connections on show in the first division of this minor event, LADY LAWYER (3) can get back to winning ways for the formidable team of Frankie Dettori and John Gosden. Having been successful on her only start at two, she was since beaten at Doncaster on her return when looking beaten for speed that day. She steps up in trip here which looks to be a good move and a big run looks on the cards if improving for that start after nine months off.

19:50 - The same trainer/jockey combination can take the second division with well related filly MAXIMUM EFFECT (8). She is a half-sister to very smart winner Kachy, who excels on the all-weather. She looked for all the world that a step up in trip was needed last time after having to race wide for most of the trip and conceded first run to the eventual winner before staying on late in the day. Her sectional timings that day caught the eye and with conditions looking ideal here, she can take this minor event from the penalised Ghaziyah.

20:20 - Ryan Moore has an incredible strike rate around Chelmsford City (38%) and CHATHAM HOUSE (1) looks to be able to add those stats. Still a maiden, his last run around Chester can be upgraded after he was given too much to do that day before running on strongly at the finish. His best run to date has been on his only start on the all-weather at Kempton on his first start as a three-year-old and the return the synthetic surface looks a good move for him to be able to record a first success.

20:50 - CROESO CYMRAEG (6) has been running extremely well on the all-weather since the turn of the year and his last run can be upgraded for several reasons. After being left poorly placed in a race where it paid to be near the pace, he could never get involved. The eventual winner that day, Champagne Marengo, has boosted the form by winning twice again since and with a better draw today, he can run his race better placed and get back to winning ways.
