17:45 - An open event to start the card and it looks worth siding with recent Lingfield winner WHISTLER BOWL (3). She improved for a considerable step up in trip last time to record an easy success on handicap debut and looks open to further improvement. She competes in a lower grade here and looks like she'll take all the beating. Other interesting competitors worth mentioning are Spice Of Life who is wearing first time blinkers today, and Break Of Day, who steps up in trip after staying on late last time.
18:15 - The two with worthwhile form are Mitty's Smile and MILD ILLUSION (11) and it looks worth siding with the latter of those. Although Mitty's Smile ran well last time to not be beaten far, she was keeping on steadily suggesting she might be better over a longer trip. Mild Illusion ran well on debut to finish second behind a promising type. While the winner didn't confirm the form last time, the third that day has done, finishing a close fifth in the Weatherby's Super Sprint on Saturday. Queen Salamah is a newcomer of note and would be of interest if strong in the betting.
18:50 - Philipine Cobra is respected dropped in grade but SWEET PURSUIT (4) can have the race run to suit and take a step forward from her reappearance. She will need to do so to get involved but she was weak in the betting that day, suggesting that is entirely possible here. With a couple of confirmed pace setters in the field, it looks set to be run at a strong gallop and Sweet Pursuit can run in her usual style of being held up off the pace to deliver her challenge late and land the spoils.
19:20 - LEO MINOR (7) can have his last run upgraded after stumbling at a vital stage in the race, putting an end to his chance. He finished third that day but wasn't given a hard time after the stumble and his penultimate run suggested he was returning to form. The handicappers have dropped him to a career low mark and he looks to be able to cash in here.
19:50 - Last time out winner BIRDCAGE WALK (7) is respected and can follow up her handicap debut success here with the different ground holding no fears. She won well at Nottingham on heavy ground relishing the extra distance that faced her and can improve further at this trip, with her maiden form coming at the track on quicker ground. She comes out top on our weight-adjusted ratings and can continue her trainers hot run of form. Gallic is another potential improver up in trip and could pose the biggest threat.
20:20 - In a race that looks sure to throw up plenty of winners in the future, a case can be made for plenty, but it looks worth siding with two well-bred types, TWO BIDS (12) and FLY THE FLAG (13). The former ran to a fairly useful level on debut when beaten by two with previous experience after being slowly away and running green when making his effort early that day, he can build on that debut. The latter ran a similar race on her debut when third at Chelmsford when racing well off the pace that day before staying on well in the straight. She could take a considerable step forward here and has solid claims.
20:50 - BRUYERE (8) was eye-catching last time out on her first run back from a break and can come on from that to take a hand here. She raced keenly that day and looked a threat before her fitness came to light. The form of that race has taken a boost with the winner going in again since and given she is lightly raced compared to the rest, she is taken to progress past the more exposed types here.
