Many Clouds won the 2015 Grand National at a Betfair SP of 35.9, denying AP McCoy a fairytale farewell to Aintree as well fancied Shutthefrontdoor came fifth...
"Shutthefrontdoor’s Exchange SP of 28.1 in the win market and 10.4 in the place market was incredible considering how well supported he was throughout the industry."
The victory was jockey Leighton Aspell's second consecutive victory in the National after he won aboard Pineau De Re last year.
The 38-year old becamethe first jockey since since Brian Fletcher on Red Rum in 1973 and 1974 to win back-to-back Nationals.
Saint Are (BSP 34.033/1), Monbeg Dude (43.5) and Alvorado (37.9) made up the rest of the top four.
Interestingly, Shutthefrontdoor's BSP was as high as 28.1 as the expected gamble didn't materialise. He was as short as 13/2 on the course ahead of the start, with bookies fearing a monster payout.
Betfair Spokesman Barry Orr said: "The £100m payout never materialised and the silver lining is that we will get to see AP ride for a couple of weeks longer.
