14.10 Thurles - Roi Du Mee
This looks competitive with Days Hotel rated 3lbs better than Roi Du Mee but our lad will love the heavy ground and he's in with a decent chance. The two and a half miles is probably about as sharp as it gets for him but he's in fantastic form at the moment and he's now going for his fifth win in-a-row. He won a listed chase last time at Tramore and while the opposition wasn't all that strong, he could only beat what was in front of him and he got the job done handy enough. We might give him another hurdle race further down the line if we find something suitable.
15.10 Thurles - Bonisland
He was fourth of six runners in a novice hurdle at Navan last time but he wasn't disgraced on that running and went reasonably well even though he lost a few lengths at the start. Previously, he was third in a grade two hurdle and he's learning all the time. He'll like the trip and he should go well as he's had a nice break and is doing good work at home. Willie Mullins' Ballycasey looks the one to beat but it's a small field of five so with a bit of luck, we can give the favourite a run for his money.
