Gordon heads to Fairyhouse on Saturday with five runners including Poormans Hill, who is expected to go well dropped in class...

Ballela Boy ran very well here earlier this month and also at Limerick on his penultimate start, both runs showed progression on prior chase starts and it looks like the penny is starting to drop so I hope he can continue in the right direction although there is still plenty of room for improvement with his jumping.
He finished well ahead of Art Of Synergy last time out who he faces again here today and I hope today will be the day he gets off the mark over fences.
Ger's Lad was a little underwhelming on his debut at Punchestown a fortnight ago but came out of the race well and the experience will have been a huge benefit for the six-year-old who is a bit of a late bloomer. He's continued to do plenty of schooling at home and I hope to see better from him today.
Sometimes A Fox was disappointing on his yard debut, pulling up here before Christmas in testing conditions. I'd like to think that was an anomaly - his flat form is decent enough and he ran well on heavy ground on his last flat start so we couldn't blame the conditions, he's had some time to freshen up and I hope we can draw a line through that last run.
Western Command performed slightly better last time out after a very poor run here the time before, the addition of a hood seemed to help so he retains that today. He ran well enough in one of his bumpers so I hope it's just a case of time with him and he's in great form at home so he takes his chance.
Poormans Hill reverts back over hurdles for this 3m contest. He's been a fantastic servant since joining the team and is a really nice honest horse who always gives 100%. He goes here with every chance stepping down in class today and the addition of Chris Meehan's 4lb claim is a nice plus.
