With news breaking on Tuesday that star filly Enable will remain in training next season, the Betfair Sportsbook have been quick to price up some big-race specials. Mike Norman has the details...

"John Gosden's stable star was immediately made favourite on the Betfair Exchange for the 2020 Arc, currently available to back at [6.0]."

Flat racing's star filly, Enable, will remain in training as a six-year-old says owner Prince Khalid Abdullah, with her main target once again being the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

The news is a massive boost to horse racing and racing fans all over the world after the mare captured the imagination with her exploits on the track, including winning back-to-back Arcs before narrowly failing to make history with an unprecedented third success earlier this month.

John Gosden's stable star was immediately made favourite on the Betfair Exchange for the 2020 Arc, currently available to back at [6.0].

Dettori delighted

The news was also welcomed in the Dettori household with Enable's regular jockey, 'Frankie', expressing his delight as he took to Twitter.

It's likely the Enable will have a similar campaign to the one she had this season with big-race targets being the Coral Eclipse Stakes at Sandown, the King George VI Stakes at Ascot, possibly the Yorkshire Oaks or Juddmonte International at York, before attempting to break history with a third success at Longchamp in October.

And it's not completely out of the question that she might go for the Breeders' Cup Turf at Keeneland in November to round of what has already been a remarkable career, whatever she achieves next season.

Following the news, the Betfair Sportsbook were quick to price-up some 2020 Enable Specials, including;

- 6/1 to win the Eclipse & The King George VI Stake
- 12/1 to remain unbeaten in 2020 (must run at least 3 times)
- 14/1 to win the Eclipse, The King George VI Stake & The Arc
- 33/1 to win the Eclipse, The King George VI Stake, The Arc & The Breeders Cup Turf
