I thought he ran a nice first race over fences at Towcester last month and that form has a solid look to it with the winner running well since. He's got a tremendous attitude, stays well and his jumping seemed sound last time so he looks to have all the right attributes for a race like this. I don't think he is on a bad mark and I am hopeful he will give a very good account.
Bit Of A Jig
I am not entirely convinced that he will want the ground too testing but it's a good prize and a small field and it is well worth taking the chance. He won well enough at Carlisle and he's a horse I like - he's still a bit immature but he should continue to progress and he deserves his place in a better contest.
Cinders And Ashes
Ideally he wouldn't be returning to action on such testing ground but we know he handles it well enough and this has been the plan for some time. He possibly didn't get the credit he deserved for his Cheltenham win but I have always thought plenty of him and have been really pleased with his preparations. He had a racecourse gallop which went well and although he will come on for the run, we need to kick on with him now. He only has three rivals and for 58 grand, it's too good an opportunity to turn down.
I was really pleased with his debut effort at Worcester as he has been very keen at home and we tried to drop him in and get him to settle. I think he's got ability but he is still a bit buzzy and we will adopt similar tactics, trying to get him to race within himself a bit more. He's got a lot to learn still and I suppose realistically he mind find a couple too strong.
She Ranks Me
It might be a slightly stronger race than Wetherby but it's confined to novices and she certainly deserves to take her chance. She's tough, improving and I don't think she has much to find if in the same form at Wetherby. I think the nature of the track will suit her and hopefully she can pick up some more black type.
