Welcome to Wednesday, it's that time of the week where racing starts to turn up the heat, and with a column packed with daily info courtesy of Daryl Carter, there is no other place to be.
"The selection finished four lengths off the runaway winner, but the time figure was excellent, and he pulled further and further clear of the remainder in the latter stages of the race."
Looking to build that bank for the weekend's action? Here are your offerings on Wednesday. Kempton rules the all-weather scene while turf action takes centre stage today at Beverley, Salisbury, Ffos Las and Yarmouth, while Gowran Park hosts the Irish action.

Stop whatever it is you are doing between 13:55 and 14:30 and get a pen and paper because the two races at Salisbury (split into two divisions) have produced excellent horses in the last three years. Foxtrot Lady, Buffer Zone, Flashcard, Ascension, and Minzaal have gone on to be rated between 100 and 111.
In today's race of the day and Salisbury's feature race at 16:15, British Stallion Studs EBF Upavon Fillies' Stakes trainer John Gosden is looking for his third win in the contest after saddling useful horses Journey and Fanny Logan to win in recent years. He has Gloria Mundi 5.59/2.
In the 16:50, George Smith Horseboxes Confined Handicap trainer Roger Charlton saddles the well-bred Modestus 4.03/1, who makes his handicap debut off an opening mark of just 69. A half brother to the excellent Time Test and Time Chaser, who both won for this yard on handicap debut. - Ryan Moore booked.
A rare Johnny G runner at Beverley
At Beverley in the 14:50, Clearanswer Call Centres EBF Maiden Stakes trainer John Gosden will have just his second runner this year and 12th in the last six at the venue with Implore 4.84/1. His only winner in that time however, was Stradivarius.
Yarmouth's 13:30 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes is a race to keep on side. John Gosden sent out winner Il Primo Sole and second Private Secretary, both went onto Royal Ascot as three-year-olds and today has Altraif 3.02/1.
Harry Love 20.019/1 is looking for back to back wins at Beverley to enhance his 40% strike rate at the course in the 16:00 Jill Willows Handicap for trainer Ollie Pears. He is up against Sibaaq, Ugo Gregory and Proud Archi, who also have good course records.
Trainer Chris Wall will look for back to back wins in the 14:40 Cazoo Handicap at Yarmouth with impressive last time out course and distance scorer The Thunderer 3.02/1 - he had a double on this card in 2019.
Hollie with a strong book of rides at Ffos Las
Hollie Doyle travels to Ffos Las today, and amongst her seven rides, she has her first for trainer David Pipe in the 18:45 Call Star Sports On 08000 521 321 Handicap on Flammarion 8.07/1.
The pick of her strong hand looks to be Lower Street 2.56/4 in the opener.
Horses for courses
This section highlights three horses that have won twice or more at today's tracks and could be in with a chance today.
Weighted to go well
"Weighted to go well" highlights horses running that are more than 10lbs below their last winning handicap mark and could have a chance today.
19:25 Kempton - Flaming Spear - Has won off 104 runs off 80
Trainer Tony Newcombe is today's furthest traveller. He has travelled 321 miles from his base to Yarmouth with Joli's Legacy 13.012/1 in the 15:50 Follow At The Races On Twitter Handicap.
Timeform backing O'Brien in Ireland today
The Timeform team head to Gowran Park today, and offer up three of their best bets.
Back Buoyant to sink his rivals at Salisbury
Buoyant offered plenty to work on when not getting the clearest passage on debut at Windsor on soft ground, and the form has been given a boost by the winner since and the runner-up next time.
He improved significantly on that run when chasing home a top-class prospect in Ehraz who will surely be contesting group races before long.
The selection finished four lengths off the runaway winner, but the time figure was excellent, and he pulled further and further clear of the remainder in the latter stages of the race.
Visually, he was impressive and will undoubtedly improve for an extra furlong in time, but he looks useful and should take some stopping in this company.
Race of the day
Salisbury gets lots of attention today and easily hosts the best race of the day with the 16:15 British Stallion Studs EBF Upavon Fillies' Stakes. It's worth noting the stacks of pace on in the race, with the likes of Lilac Road, Salsada, Freyja and A La Voile all capable of going forward.
Technique takes a big drop in grade after an excellent fourth in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood last time, and that's arguably the strongest piece of form in the race.
She does, however, leave the impression that she lacks the pace for this trip and would be seen to best effect over 12 furlongs, but today's strong pace will certainly suit, and it would be no surprise to see her running on at the death.
However, something getting first run on her would be the worry for backers.
Lady Hayes is improving at a rate of knots, and she can boast an excellent course win over 7f here as a two-year-old but has improved for distance.
She takes a drop back in trip and is back on faster ground, both can be seen as negatives, and it may be wise to catch her on a softer surface. Although she is another, the strong pace will help.
I've taken a chance on Vasela at a double-figure price. She is superbly bred and was only beaten three lengths by the useful Creative Flair and Lilac Road on seasonal return.
She took a good step forward despite suffering race ending interference at York last time, but despite that wasn't beaten far.
That race never got to the bottom of her as she never got going when tied up for room. There is a slight concern that she may want a softer surface, but another step forward will put her right in the mix.
A busy day for punters, and that looks the case for the remainder of the week.
I am always trying to adapt this column to bring you vital and obscure information daily to get punters over the winning line, so if you have any comments (good or bad), do let me know on Twitter.
The Racing League is back at Lingfield tomorrow, and the tipping column will again attack the meeting, so keep your eyes out.
Until tomorrow, be lucky.
