At Newcastle in the 14:10 Please Gamble Responsibly At betuk.com Novice Stakes, Alrehb 5.04/1, half brother to the exceptional sprinter Muhaarar will make his debut for trainer Charles Hills - of his four half brothers, two have won on debut and Hills trained both.
All eyes on the 16:20 betuk.com, Your Home For Online Betting EBF Novice Stakes at Newcastle. Roger Varian won the race in 2019 with the now 99 rated Ascension, and King Power won the race last year with the 99 rated Fivethousandtoone. King Power also ran Art Power in this race in 2019 which suggests they send a good one here.
Varian and King Power team up with Leuven Power 3.55/2.
Pontefract's feature race is the 18:00 Volkswagen Van Centre Leeds Optional Claiming Handicap where three horses are up to be claimed. Magical Wish £34,900 - Streak Lightning £19,200 - Six Strings £9,600.
Haydock remember The Tin Man
The 14:20 at Haydock is run in honour of the exceptional sprinter, The Tin Man, who won the Sprint Cup in 2018 but recently suffered a race career-ending injury on the Newmarket gallops.
At Haydock Three-year-olds have won the last three runnings of the 14:55 Bet At racingtv.com Handicap - there are two entered today. Amor De Mi Vida 10.09/1 and Macho Pride 13.012/1.
Trainer Ed Walker is looking to win the 16:30 Pareto Financial Planning Handicap for the third time in four years with Dreamweaver 4.03/1 who is two for three here at Haydock.
Ascot card as good as festival racing
Sir Micheal Stoute looks for back to back winners in the 15:05 Victoria Racing Club Handicap at Ascot with his sole runner on the card, My Frankel 4.57/2.
Ebury 13.012/1 won on this card in 2019 and runs in today's 15:40 National Racehorse Week Handicap along with Walhaan 4.57/2, who was runner up in this race last season. James Tate books Ryan Moore for the ride on the latter, and they have a 34% strike rate when partnering.
Claiming Jockeys have won three of the last six of the 16:10 Bateaux London Handicap at Ascot and Christain Howarth looks a promising apprentice to keep on side - Aljari 10.09/1.

Jockey Callum Rodriguez is riding at a 26% strike rate in the last 14 days with five winners from his 19 rides, and he has four rides at Newcastle today.
Trainer Michael Dodds is today's furthest traveller with Northern Express at Ascot in the 16:45. He has travelled 259 miles.
Race of the day
Ascot's15:40 National Racehorse Week Handicap looks like a tight race on paper with a few well-handicapped horses and a couple with untapped potential to consider.
Uncle Bryn makes his return to the track after 113 days off. He was last seen finishing well beaten in the Dante Stakes at York, and this could be a prep run for the Newmarket Cambridgeshire in three weeks time as it was last week for another of the yards runners with Frankie Dettori on board.
He returns after having a gelding operation, and, in my opinion, he has enough to prove after disappointing the last twice on turf and with little to recommend him, there will surely be better 2/1 shots than this in the coming days.
Fantastic Fox was unlucky not to score on his last visit to this course when held up off a slow pace, and the race turning into a sprint wouldn't have suited him.
He brings the untapped potential to the field and arrives on the back of a victory despite the unfavoured soft ground at Haydock.
He is progressing with each run, and it's hard to ignore his Newbury piece of form behind Snow Lantern. This is only his second start on a sounder surface since then, and he has a likeable attitude.
Plenty of positives.
Walhaan is the most interesting of those outside the top two in the market and is now four pounds lower than when second in this race last term. He has been disappointing, it must be said, and cost me a fortune, but it was a step back in the right direction last time at Newbury. For all, it was a class 4 0-85.
This is much tougher, but he can play a role if he gets the strong pace he needs, although that's not guaranteed in here.

A Super Saturday at Haydock
Saturday sees the feature of Haydock's three-day meeting, the Sprint Cup. A field of eleven has been confirmed for the race, with Starman, a very strong market leader.
Have you missed out on the Betfair content? Check out Max's column here.
You don't need me to tell you Starman will be very hard to beat. Everyone with a set of eyes saw his blocked passage in the July Cup only to come home very strongly to beat nearly all of these in the process.
He can be forgiven on ground terms for his defeat in Deauville, but again I am not telling you anything you didn't know.
I will say, though, that Creative Force is a better horse away from Newmarket, and his passage in the above-mentioned July Cup was no plain sailing either - of course, you know me by now, and yes, I will back him.
Garrus shouldn't be a 41.040/1 shot either, especially as he arrives on the back of a career-best and is turned out quickly for this.
That's all from me this week folks, hope it's been a profitable one.
Keep a positive mindset, enjoy the weekend and most of all, be lucky.
