In the 13:55 at Ffos Las, trainer William Haggas has a 67% (2-3) strike rate with two-year-olds at this venue and today sends Lord Bertie 2.26/5 ridden by Tom Marquand, who has a healthy 18% strike rate.
Haggas also sends one runner to Catterick where he has a 38% strike rate with two-year-olds. He runs Kyeema 1.910/11 in the 14:10 ridden by Cieran Fallon - his only ride of the day.
Haggas across the card double pays 3.814/5
Trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam has her first runner at Ffos Las today with Arika 1.910/11 in the 14:30. She has made the 245-mile journey and is the furthest traveller on the card.
Jockey Robert Havlin partners with Charles Hills at Chelmsford in the 19:40 today on Pontius 3.55/2. The pair have an 18% strike rate, and it's the jockey's best chance of a winner from two rides today.
In the 17:50 at Kempton, Princess Naomi 2.89/5 goes for trainer Rod Millman who partners with Andrea Atzeni and backing this partnership on the AW would yield a profit of £55 to a £1 level stake.
At Kempton, trainer Saeed bin Suroor has a 29% strike rate with two-year-olds. Today he runs Al Khazneh 3.55/2 at 19:20, who wears first-time cheek-pieces and backing all of his two-year-olds on the AW in this headgear would have yielded a profit of £4 to a £1 level stake (30% win rate).
We have some early Group 1 action in France as Deauville hosts the Prix Rothschild at 14:33 over a mile. Recent Prix Jean Prat scorer Tenebrism, Duke of Cambridge winner Saffron Beach go head to head and are two of the seven that are set to take their chance on a card that also features three Group 3 contests.

Race of the day
Today's feature race is the 19:50 at Kempton in what looks like a strikingly competitive six-furlong sprint handicap. Eleven runners head to post in a wide-open affair with two course specialists and a handful of progressive horses.
Prop Forward looked right at the top of his game when last seen 213 days ago streaking away to score at Southwell over five furlongs and returns to action today over six. He is heading the right way and could potentially turn into a group class performer.
He is entirely unexposed and now two for two on the AW surface and is a promising prospect. The absence does slightly concern me, and he is 11 pounds higher than that Southwell romp, but he could have any amount to come.
Nationwide has acquitted himself well in deep turf handicaps the last twice, but he was thrice a winner on the AW last term, and the return to Kempton, where he scored decisively back in April, could see him back to winning ways.
He relies on a strong pace and is likely to see out further than this six furlongs in time (ran over 1m when with Sir Michael Stoute), so he could be vulnerable to a tactically run affair.
Still, he has given the impression there is more to come, and there will be few doing better work at the finish than him.
Scots Grace caught the eye at Chester when doing best of those from off the pace and did run well here in a Listed event with her former handler despite being hampered. She improved for the removal of the hood at Chester, which remains off today, so backers can expect another step forward.
Big race verdict
Plenty to choose from here. Prop Forward is an intriguing proposition, and the presence of Adam Kirby should be looked at in a positive light, while Tyger Bay is another on the upgrade.
Strong Power would be prefered if this was run at his beloved Chelmsford, given the time figures he has clocked there.
Still, the recent Chester performance of Scots Grace gives the impression we haven't seen the best of her yet, and this turning track should again see her in a good light in what is just her second start in a handicap, so Hugo Palmer's three-year-old gets the vote.

Final Word
Chester on Sunday was run on the softest ground since 2017, according to reports from Leonna Mayor, who was excellent as always fronting Sky Sports Racing on Sunday.
She was the only person, at least to my recollection, to mention how testing conditions were unless you searched high and low on the BHA website and compared the going readings throughout the years.
I am never one to worry about the odd few mills or rain here or there, or worry about going stick readings, but I do want to know when the going is drastically different to what is recorded on a website or two.
Good to soft is good to soft, and good to firm is good to firm in my mind. I don't care about the odd patch of ground that is riding slower, but when the reports suggest good, good to soft in places, and it is actually soft ground, I want to know about it.
Fairplay to Leonna Mayor for pulling this up - she knew it was important to punters. Still, accurate going readings when the ground differs this much needs to be fixed and something websites need to be taking more seriously - or just have one source that represents the ground conditions accurately.
Anyway, until tomorrow, be lucky.
