It's a tricky day for punters with plenty of low graded action on Thursday. It's been tricky to find stat angles today across the cards, but hopefully there is one or two in here to help you with your punting!
Jumps racing can be found at Wincanton today, as can I, as I head there for hospitality duty for the first time this season.
Tramore and Carlisle host the remainder of the jumps action, while Chelmsford is our focus for the race of the day.
Brighton and Curragh complete the days flat cards.
Money Talk continues to highlight the Betfair Sportsbook big-money moves to keep you in the loop. This section highlights market moves between 1:00 am and 9:00 am.
14:02 Tramore - Conquering Tara 20/1 into 14/1
14:55 Wincanton - Friends Don't Ask 7/2 into 3/1
16:30 Brighton - Dawn View - 15/2 into 11/2
17:40 Brighton - Atty's Edge 9/1 into 15/2
The market says LAY!
Switching things up today with the lay bet and instead of the market guiding, I am offering a LAY bet - Daryl's LAY.
13:45 Wincanton - Island Nation 8/11
This is not a deep contest at all, but there are serious concerns about Island Nation's ability to stay this new trip of 2 1/2 miles. Connections made too much use of him last time at Huntingdon over 2m and he hasn't given the impression that he wants a step up in trip. Providing there is a sensible gallop on here, Beholden or Arcade Attraction a far stronger stayers.

Wincanton kicks off their season today with the 13:15 MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Maiden Hurdle. Trainer's William Muir and Chris Grassick will have their first runner in the National Hunt sphere with 55 rated flat horse Hammy End 4.57/2.

The 15:05 Moynan Smith Accountants Handicap Chase at Carlisle is a target race for trainer Jonjo O'Neil who saddles Quartz Du Rheu 1.84/5. The yard finished third in 2018, first in 2019 and second in 2020.
Trainer Richard Hannon sends three runners to Brighton today and has a 24% strike rate at this venue. He runs 14:45 Mr Stanley 5.59/2, 17:05 Incorrigible 5.04/1 and 17:05 Owner Starlight 26.025/1.
Three-year-olds have won five of the last eight of Brighton's 15:20 Download The Star Sports App Handicap. There are just two entered today. Yanifer 3.7511/4 and Evening Song 7.06/1.
Buick and Murphy go head to head at Chelmsford
William Buick continues to close the gap on Oisin Murphy as he is now just two winners away from joining him at the top of the Jockey Championship leader board.
It has been a remarkable few months for the jockey, but today the pair go head to head at Chelmsford. William Buick has seven rides while Oisin Murphy has six, and one of Buick's rides is 1/2 shot Lord Lovelace in the 19:30 Support The Injured Jockeys Fund Novice Stakes - that 11/10 about the jockey title is starting to look tempting!
Buick is now 11/10 from 7/4, and you can back him here.

This section highlights a trainer, owner or jockey who is in excellent current form and their runners or rides for the day.
Jockey Brian Hughes has been operating at a 33% strike rate in the last 14 days. Today he heads to Carlisle and has seven rides and looks like a jockey to keep on side!
Today's furthest traveller is trainer is Phillip Makin, who makes the 283-mile journey to Brighton with his runner Libby 8.07/1 in the 15:55 Star Sports Bet Pipped?! Offer EBF Restricted Novice Stakes.
This is the trainer's first-ever runner at Brighton.
Race of the day
Today's race is the 20:00 tote.co.uk Now Never Beaten By SP Handicap at Chelsmford and looks like a real tough assignment for punters with very few looking well-handicapped.
Montather returns to the scene of his last victory, and his unexposed profile will surely be popular with punters. He is likely to go off favourite for this contest, and his run last time in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket is easily forgiven.
He caught the eye when denied a clear run at York on his penultimate start, and he is two pounds lower here, so it would be folly to write him off.
He hasn't earned the right to be called consistent just yet, but this looks like a good opportunity for him to take a step forward, and he must be feared if backing against him.
Summa Peto is one of the more interesting runners at a double-figure price.
He is drawn well to attack, and it would be no surprise with the lack of pace drawn low should he revert to prominent tactics as he did when destroying a good field earlier this year on his sole all-weather start.
The return to this surface is a positive, and his latest effort on the back of a gelding operation can be forgiven, but much better is needed now, and the chips are stacked in his favour.
He could go close at an each-way price.
Jumaira Bay has built up a solid record on the all-weather and got off the mark at this venue over seven furlongs earlier this season before being thrown in the deep end in some top-class handicaps.
He doesn't look particularly well-handicapped at present, but the step back up to a mile could easily unlock further improvement on the evidence of his latest run, and this is not as strong as the numbers suggest.
He does need things to fall into his lap, and he may not get the right scenario today, but it wouldn't be a total shock to see him find improvement on just his fifth run on the all-weather.

It looks like a very tricky day across the board for punters today, so best of luck in finding those winners.
I am heading off to Wincanton today as we welcome guests back in the hospitality department after what feels like an age due to the pandemic.
It's good to get back out working on track. There's nothing like getting up close to these equine beauties on a race day, and if you're there, feel free to give me a shout.
Until tomorrow, be lucky.
