All the info you need for the final day of the 2017 Cheltenham Festival...
13:30 - JCB Triumph Hurdle
Winner: Defi Du Seuil
Betfair Starting Price: 4.1 (ISP 3.55/2)
Antepost High of Winner: 16.5
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner never traded higher than 4.57/2 in-play.
Comments: A race in which Defi Du Seuil always looked comfortable storming clear on the run in to land a convincing victory. Nothing else looked likely to land a blow round the bend and such was the ease of the win he never traded higher than 4.57/2 in the run.
14:10 - RHC Handicap Hurdle
Winner: Arctic Fire
Betfair Starting Price: 26.7 (ISP 21.020/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 50.049/1
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Wakea hit 2.89/5. Lami Serge 2.285/4, Arctic Fire 48.047/1.
Comments: Wakea was very brave out front trading at just to 2.89/5 from 79.2 BSP before weakening tamely up the hill. Lami Serge hit 2.285/4 in the run, surging up the hill but not as strongly as Arctic Fire, who bagged the inside rail to win the County Hurdle off top weight.
14:50 - Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle
Betfair Starting Price: 18.017/1 (ISP 17.016/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 34.033/1
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Penhill a high of 21.020/1, Monalee a low of 2.111/10, Wholestone hit a low of 1.9620/21.
Comments: Death Duty and Augusta Kate fluffed their lines and Wholestone, Monalee and Penhill battled out a superb finish up the hill. All three turned in well and looked the winner at one stage. Wholestone hit 1.9620/21, Monalee 2.111/10 before Penhill forged clear to win well.
15:30 - Cheltenham Gold Cup
Winner: Sizing John
Betfair Starting Price: 8.615/2 (ISP 8.07/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 1000.0
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Sizing John hit a high of 11.5, Djakadam and Native River hit a low of 2.0811/10.
Comments: Djakadam looked in total control throughout only to find himself in a real battle with Native River over the last two flights. It was Sizing John however who stayed on powerfully to sweep past them both to run out a comfortable winner and complete a remarkable Gold Cup double for Jessica Harrington and Robbie Power. Minella Rocco ran on gamely for second with a weakening Djakadam out of the places.
16:10 - Foxhunter Challenge Cup
Winner: Pacha Du Polder
Betfair Starting Price: 21.2 (ISP 17.016/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 27.026/1
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Pacha Du Polder hit a high of 27.026/1. Wonderful Charm hit a low of 2.021/1 and Paint The Clouds 2.3611/8.
Comments: Pacha Du Polder returned to the Festival with less attention than when Victoria Pendleton rode him last year but he travelled well and held off the late surge of Wonderful Charm to claim Paul Nicholls first winner at the Festival with just two races to go.
16:50 - Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle
Winner: Champagne Classic
Betfair Starting Price: 16.015/1 (ISP 13.012/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 32.031/1
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Coo Star Sivola hit a low of 3.259/4, Verni hit a low of 3.02/1
Comments: Champagne Classic lands a gamble (48.047/1 in to 16.015/1) to land the Martin Pipe comfortably for Gordon Elliott and J.J Slevin.
17:30 - Grand Annual Handicap
Winner: Rock The World
Betfair Starting Price: 16.5 (ISP 11.010/1)
Antepost High of Winner: 26.025/1
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Theinval hit a low of 2.89/5 in the run.
Comments: Rock The World brings the curtain down on the 2017 Festival, sweeping past Gardefort after the last, giving Jessica Harrington even more to celebrate after she had earlier landed the Gold Cup with Sizing John, not to mention Supasundae in the Coral Cup. Nicky Henderson always targets this race named in honour of his father but had to settle for third place with Theinval.
