13:30 - Neptune Novices' Hurdle

Winner: Willoughby Court
Betfair Starting Price: 16.5 (ISP [15.0])
Antepost High of Winner: [100.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner hit a high of [20.0] in-running, the runner-up Neon Wolf hit a low of [2.0].

Comments: Front running Willoughby Court gamely fends off the challenge of strong-travelling Neon Wolf ([2.0] in-running) to land the odds. Messire Des Obeaux ([2.62] in-running) also travelled well but couldn't pick up as well as the front two.

14:10 - RSA Novices' Chase

Winner: Might Bite
Betfair Starting Price: [5.2] (ISP [4.5])
Antepost High of Winner: [90.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner hit a high of [34.0] when wandering on the run-in, the runner-up, Whisper, was matched at a low of [1.02] in-running.

Comments: Turning in Might Bite looked like he was going to win by 20 lengths, but jumping the last he veered badly to his right allowing the chasing Whisper to get narrowly in front, only for Might Bite to battle back to the lead once he was straightened up by Nico de Boinville.

14:50 - Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle

Winner: Supasundae
Betfair Starting Price: 19.8 (ISP [17.0])
Antepost High of Winner: [34.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner hit a high of [25.0] in-running, runner-up Taquin Du Seuil hit a low of [3.25].

Comments: Another nod towards the strength of last year's Supreme Novices' as Supasundae, fifth that day behind yesterday's winners Altior and Buveur D'Air, storms up the hill to Coral Cup victory. Taquin Du Seuil, himself a previous festival winner and lurking on a dangerous hurdles mark, was second having hit [3.25] in-running.

15:30 - Queen Mother Champion Chase

Winner: Special Tiara
Betfair Starting Price: [41.5] (ISP [12.0])
Antepost High of Winner: [85.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: Douvan never traded shorter than [1.24], Special Tiara hit [48.0], Fox Norton a low of [1.28]

Comments: The seemingly unbeatable Douvan, nine from nine over fences coming into this race, put in a below-par round of jumping and in truth was soon beaten. Front running Special Tiara ([41.5] BSP v [12.0] ISP) bounced off the Spring turf and held off the late surge of Fox Norton to cause a massive upset.

16:10 - Cross Country Chase

Winner: Cause Of Causes
Betfair Starting Price: 5.72 (ISP [5.0])
Antepost High of Winner: [34.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner hit a high of [6.0] in-running, the French raider, Amazing Comedy (BSP of [90.0]), hit a low of [2.1] turning for home.

Comments: Cheltenham stalwart Cause Of Causes landed a third Festival career victory after taking over from long-time leader Amazing Comedy at the top of the straight and quickly stretching well clear of the chasing pack. Veteran stablemate Bless The Wings ran on well for second ahead of favourite Cantlow. Gordon Elliott continues out in front in the race to become leading trainer, this being winner number four of the week.

16:50 - Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

Winner: Flying Tiger
Betfair Starting Price: 57.3 (ISP [34.0])
Antepost High of Winner: [65.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner traded at a high of [90.0] in-running, the placed horses, Divin Bere and Nietzsche, were matched at lows of [2.1] and [1.25] respectively.

Comments: Another shock result as Nick Williams' outsider showed plenty of guts up the hill to hold off better fancied rivals. Favourite Divin Bere and the gambled-on Nietzsche both came with a challenge but couldn't go past the winner.

17:30 - Weatherby's Champion Bumper

Winner: Fayonagh
Betfair Starting Price: 9.28
Antepost High of Winner: [110.0]
Notable In-Running Highs and Lows: The winner, who missed the start, was matched at a high of [95.0] in-running, the runner-up, Debuchet, traded at a low of [1.31] in-running.

Comments: A remarkable day for trainer Gordon Elliott, not to mention top amateur rider Jamie Codd, culminated in this dramatic victory for 6yo mare Fayonagh. Slowly away at the start she found herself right at the back of a race run at a furious gallop, but began to pick up places off the home turn and exploded up the hill to overhaul leader Debuchet who had kicked clear and wasn't stopping.
