Alan Dudman looks to Stratford on Tuesday evening, and is backing a pair of young chasers to get on the scoresheet...

"He jumped fairly soundly in a two-runner race on his chase debut and there should be a fair bit to come from this 5yo - especially with the ground in his favour."

Back Sword Of Fate @ [8.0] in the 20:30 at Stratford

George chaser to make his mark

19:00 Stratford - Back Born For War @ [4.0]

The quick ground is really having an impact on the Flat horses and field sizes at the moment, and it was hard to fancy anything for the afternoon's cards. However, there's a bet to be had in the 19:00 at Stratford with Born For War.

His trainer Tom George has wasted little time over hurdles with just four runs and he makes his chase debut this evening.

Rated 113 for his handicap bow, he brings an interesting piece of form from his latest hurdles' effort behind Notnow Seamus - who has gone on to boost the form with a win. That looks a fair race in the context of this.

Born For War improved for the step up in trip there and the decent ground. He goes up again in distance to 2m7f and looks to have a good chance.

Fate looks tempting on quick ground

20:30 Stratford - Back Sword Of Fate @ [8.0]

I've enjoyed watching the progression of trainer Tom Lacey, and he could have a useful prospect on his hands in the shape of Sword Of Fate.

He's shown flashes of raw ability with some wide margin victories, and the key seems to be quick ground. Indeed, with a win on good to firm, his handler has been very positive in the past about his love for a quicker surface.

So on that score, we should have no worries.

His effort over hurdles last time was not so great, but that makes the price at around [8.0].

He's a strapping sort with a big frame who was never the most fluent over hurdles. He jumped fairly soundly in a two-runner race on his chase debut and there should be a fair bit to come from this 5yo - especially with the ground in his favour.
