Alan Dudman scored with Pacha Du Polder yesterday at 27.8 to add to his double-figure price winner of Penhill on Thursday, and he is looking to continue his decent form with a couple of picks for Wolverhampton on Saturday night...
"Whilst his latest effort at Dundalk was a below-par run - he has been churning out some fairly consistent performances at that Irish venue - and he can take care of this lot."
Mare to take advantage of class drop
19:45 Wolverhampton - Back Bint Arcano @ 7.06/1
Class droppers down in grade from top weight is one of my favourite angles on the Flat, so for that reason the mare Bint Arcano makes a bit of appeal at around 7.06/1 tonight in the feature fillies' handicap.
The five-year-old returned from a break last time at the track in a 0-105, but wasn't in the best position to attack from off the pace - she might just have needed the run too. Hopefully she will be ridden a fair bit handier from her plum draw in 1.
That January race was over a slightly further trip, and the drop down to 7f will really suit for optimum conditions.
She's racing from a mark of 90, but she is a better horse on the all-weather and travelled very well in a race at Doncaster previously. Back her at around 7.06/1
Society dangerous from winning mark
20:15 Wolverhampton - Back Society Ranger @ 4.03/1
I will keep this one fairly simple; and my method of believing low-grade Irish horses are better than low-grade horses that are usually seen around Wolverhampton will be tested here with Society Ranger.
He fairly bolted up in a race at the track last summer from a mark of 54 (by five lengths) - and he goes in again from the same rating tonight.
While his latest effort at Dundalk was a below-par run - he has been churning out some fairly consistent performances at that Irish venue - and he can take care of this lot.
