Bets Of The Day: Don't Give Up set for big run at Kempton

The Godolphin-owned Don't Give Up has strong claims to win at Kempton

Alan Dudman hit the target at Sedgefield yesterday following the victory of Mathayus. He has two more bets for Wednesday evening at Kempton...

"With a decent draw and a pedigree to suggest he'll stay well, I am expecting Oisin Murphy to press on from the inside - especially with the cheekpieces on for the first time."

17:40 Kempton - Seyasah to bounce back after Yarmouth flop

It's likely that the Ed de Giles' Treacherous will dominate the market at a short enough price, but I am willing to give another chance to Seyasah here. And you can get 10/1 on the Sportsbook for this filly.

We have to ignore her run last time at Yarmouth over 6f. The ground was soft and she folded tamely, but that was her second run with ease in the ground, and she clearly doesn't go on it.

She hasn't been beaten too far in 0-70 handicaps at Doncaster and Leicester this season, and the latter came over 6f. Seyasah has shaped as though she lacked the pace for that trip - the step up to 7f this evening should suit.

Down 2lb, she's running from a mark she can still be a player from, and with only one run on the all-weather, she might improve for the switch to the surface.

19:40 Kempton - Suroor and Murphy to combine for win

The unexposed Don't Give Up must work like a brilliant horse - he's been sent off favourite in every single one of his four races to date.

He's likely to be at the head of the market again, which is understandable for a three-year-old at this time of year. He only made his debut in the summer, and he's making up for lost time.

The impression created on his first run at Kempton was a good one, he ran riot to win his Maiden by five lengths, and then was pitched into a decent handicap at Newmarket where he finished second.

His latest run came in soft ground at Haydock, and the testing conditions were clearly too much. That came over 1m2f, and he drops back down to 1m this evening. With a decent draw and a pedigree to suggest he'll stay well, I am expecting Oisin Murphy to press on from the inside - especially with the cheekpieces on for the first time.
