Alan Dudman is back for the next seven days and starts with two win selections for Carlisle's afternoon card and Goodwood in the evening...

"He has been dropped 3lb down to 83 but I wouldn't write him off just yet and tonight's jockey Silvestre De Sousa has good a record on the horse; his form figures read 13124."

Back Arab Moon @ [11.0] in the 19:05 at Goodwood

Stick with Bastiman to deliver again

14:30 Carlisle - Back Leeshaan @ [8.0]

Time and time again trainer Rebecca Bastiman has proved she can win with horses who are well-handicapped, so I am in no way deterred from backing Leeshaan in the 14:30 given he is racing from his lowest ever mark.

He won as a juvenile for James Tate, but struggled to get to grips with a mark that was too high thereafter.

Leeshaan's had three spins for Bastiman and didn't run too badly when last seen at Pontefract over 6f. I'm not sure he liked the soft ground there and was a little bit too keen in the race. We can forgive him that run, but it was an improvement on his previous two efforts.

The switch to a good surface should help, but from a mark of 64 he has a chance from the handicapper.

Moon to shine under De Sousa

19:05 Goodwood - Back Arab Moon @ [11.0]

One of the most fascinating contenders on the evening card at Goodwood lines up in the 19:05 staying handicap - and I am backing Arab Moon.

He's worthy of the little intro judged on his ultra-progressive form in 2017, admittedly on the all-weather, but there's no reason he cannot translate that across to the turf.

Tonight's trip is over 1m6f, and he's not had too many chances over the distance. Following his latest effort, he has been dropped 3lb down to 83, but I wouldn't write him off just yet and tonight's jockey Silvestre De Sousa has good a record on the horse; his form figures read 13124.

You might have to hide behind the sofa watching Arab Moon as he's a horse that is ridden "cold" and held up a long way off the pace. He does need a few things to fall his way, but he has the right man on board and he's dangerous from his current mark given a couple of stylish wins at Kempton last year.

Hopefully De Sousa can deliver him in the nick of time.
