Nick Shiambouros is back in the tipping chair with a win selection from Exeter and a place advice from Warwick...
"He is best judged on his excellent second to Label Des Obeaux in a Grade 2 event at Sandown in December"
14:10 Warwick - Ballypoint
Ballypoint could run well at a big price in this interesting race.
This Mahler gelding finished a decent second to Que Sera at Towcester in December. He ran on strongly in the closing stages, and was gaining on the winner close home. His latest run in a Grade 2 event at Haydock is best forgotten as he was clearly overmatched.
I think the safest option is to back him in the place market at 3.02/1 and have a small win bet at around 12.011/1.
Paddy's Field is the current favourite at 3.711/4. He won a novices' hurdle in good style at Market Rasen last month. I think he is open to further improvement, but does have to carry a penalty and represents poor value.
15:20 Exeter - Captain Chaos
Captain Chaos sets a good standard in this novices' hurdle.
This gelding finished down the field behind Champers On Ice at Cheltenham last month. He did not appear happy on the heavy ground, and folded tamely when the chips were down.
He is best judged on his excellent second to Label Des Obeaux in a Grade 2 event at Sandown in December. A reproduction of that effort would see him go very close.
I have backed him at his current price of 2.1411/10 on the exchange.
Paul Nicholls send out Firsty who will be making his UK debut. This French import has raced with promise on both starts and must be respected.
Friday's Recommended Bets
