It's Alan Dudman's turn in the tipping chair for the next seven days and his two bets for Friday run at Wetherby and Newcastle...
"McLintock's runners are always of interest at this track, and her sprinter is well-handicapped on his old form when based in Lambourn."
Back Everkyllachy @ 5.24/1 in the 20:00 at Newcastle
If Diamond settles he can make his mark in Yorkshire
15:25 Wetherby - Back Grey Diamond @ 5.04/1
We head to Wetherby for one of the bets today and Alan King's Grey Diamond is of interest going handicapping for the first time from a mark of 117.
He has been headstrong in his handful of starts to date but he certainly has ability, as displayed when landing a bumper on decent ground on his debut last May. A similar sort of surface could be the order of the day for Friday, and he showed a pretty good turn of foot in that.
His hurdling efforts should be labelled as a "work in progress" thus far, mainly down to the fact he needs to learn to settle. Hopefully jockey Wayne Hutchinson (pictured below) can get him to race in a more relaxed manner.

He was given a fair bit to do in a race behind subsequent Triumph winner Pentland Hills at Plumpton last time, but he did make a bit of progress in that to suggest he could be racing from a fairly lenient mark for his first foray.
Switch to new yard a positive for Everkyllachy
20:00 Newcastle - Back Everkyllachy @ 5.24/1
The second bet of the day is a similar sort of price to Grey Diamond, and the angle here is Everkyllachy's switch in joining Karen McLintock from Stan Moore.
McLintock's runners are always of interest at this track, and her sprinter is well-handicapped on his old form when based in Lambourn. He finished second in a 0-70 at Bath last term on the Flat from 61, and he's in 0-55 grade this evening from a 6lb lower mark. He was also a bit unlucky in a race at Brighton - he was driven and stayed on well there, so Newcastle could be a venue to suit.
He usually misses the break, but the first-time visor will be applied to hopefully kick-start him into action.
