Alan Dudman hit the target with Poyle Vinnie at 7.06/1 yesterday, and he sticks with the all-weather action at Lingfield with two bets - including a former Johnny Murtagh runner for Wednesday...

"He beat Listed winner Laganore that day with a neat turn of foot - and that's the hallmark of this fascinating contender."

14:05 Lingfield - Tate's Gamrah to show true worth in a handicap

On pedigree, Gamrah should be so much better than a 63-rated filly. As a relation to the classy Jack Naylor, Gamrah has let the side down a bit from her latest two starts.

Her most recent run at Wolverhampton was poor, but she was 20/1 that day. Better was expected in her previous outing at Kempton though - but again she ran below par, in a race where she was far too keen and dropped away.

On the plus side, she showed something on her debut at Dunstall Park back in August, running with promise and travelling well. The two poor runs means she is off a decent mark for her breeding, and her trainer James Tate's horses have been going quite well (from a small number) in January.

This filly didn't race as a juvenile, so with just three runs to date as a 4yo, she might have been difficult to train or had a problem or two, so she isn't a lost cause yet.

15:15 Lingfield - Eddystone to rock rivals in feature

Trainer John Best has inherited a good one in the shape of Eddystone Rock - and this fast progressing horse looks a big player in the feature race of the day at Lingfield.

The 5yo was improving at a rapid pace in a handful of starts for Johnny Murtagh in 2016, and was last seen scooting up in a 1m1f race at Tipperary from a mark of 95. He beat Listed winner Laganore that day with a neat turn of foot - and that's the hallmark of this fascinating contender, he goes and quickens.

Murtagh previously mentioned him as a possible Premier Handicap type when scoring at Navan last May - again showing that fine burst of speed to win by six lengths. He had the 93-rated Bold Thady Quill back in third.

His late kick could be perfect for this track today, and from a rating of 100 for his first run for Best, he gets the nod.
