Rose to take the opener
13:40 Yarmouth - Back Restless Rose @ 4.507/2
We are starting nice and early with the first pick of the day in the Yarmouth opener at 13:40, and Restless Rose should enjoy a return to the North Denes track.
She won a 3yo handicap at the venue last term from a mark of 75, and she landed that quite cosily. That was on quick ground, and that surface certainly seems to suit.
The Stuart Williams-trained filly is racing from a 1lb lower mark today and she arrives into the race in good form with a couple of seconds at Epsom and Chelmsford. She was a little bit keen in the latter, and that can be apparent with her.
The selection can win from this mark, and I am backing her at around the 4.507/2 mark. The booking of Marco Ghiani and his 7lb claim helps.
Palmer's consistent filly the pick
17:35 Sandown - Back Mina Vagante @ 4.03/1
Hugo Palmer's Mina Vagante has been knocking on the door of late with a series of second places, and she can get her head in front at Sandown.
It looks a winnable and open contest, and in short, the selection might not have a lot in hand of her mark of 71, but she's up to winning on this ground with conditions at the trip suitable.
Last time she was at a disadvantage being held up at Newmarket, and she ran well previously at Redcar in a reasonable time behind the progressive Mr Coco Bean. She has been held up in her last two starts but she received a more forward ride back in July.
The apprentice of the moment Cieren Fallon's claim is an obvious plus.
