Decent ground can help George's hurdler after good comeback
15:10 Warwick - Back Forgot To Ask @ 8.07/1
I am firmly in Flat mode these days, although this week has been somewhat of a struggle.
My switch to the jumping code isn't out of frustration, but more on the way Forgot To Ask travelled in a race at Wincanton last time. He was matched at 3.259/4 from his double-figure BSP, and shaped really well following a small break.
He might not have stayed the 2m6f there, so it's interesting his trainer Tom George has decided to come down in trip at Warwick to 2m3f.
The Wincanton effort was his first since a wind op and first-time in a tongue-tie.
His chasing career was a disaster with two falls previously, and he could be well-treated still from 117 with the way he travels on decent ground.
Davis can star in the saddle for Fahey
16:55 Beverley - Back International Man @ 4.507/2
Bets were pretty difficult to find on the Beverley card on Thursday, but I'll nominate Richard Fahey's International Man to go well at around the 4.507/2 figure on the Exchange.
He ran with credit behind Give It Some Teddy in a good handicap for the grade at Redcar last time. The winner travelled really nicely off the pace to pick up, and International Man might not have been suited by prominent tactics back in third.
Racing from the same mark again here (off 76), he also has the benefit of the excellent apprentice Sean Davis. He claims 5lb and has plenty of experience with over 30 Flat winners in Ireland.
International Man has also given the impression he might stay a little further - which is a help at Beverley. He also acts on decent ground.
