Sprinter can take advantage of good draw and lowly mark
14:15 Beverley - Back One Boy each-way @ 12/1 Sportsbook price
The 5f sprint at 14:15 looks wide open but One Boy is worth siding with at a decent price.
He has often shown a liking for cut in the ground, which he is unlikely to get on Tuesday. However, he has shown he acts on good to firm in the past, and the price of 12/1 on the Sportsbook compensates for that.
One of his better efforts in a disappointing campaign thus far was over course and distance from a mark of 57. He is 6lb lower for today and has a decent draw on the inside.
He hasn't been making the running this season but has done so in the past - including bouncing out quickly to win at Beverley last summer.
With 17 runners we have the four places for a well-handicapped horse.
Easterby's Airplane can take off from a lowly mark
19:40 Nottingham Back Airplane each-way @ 12/1 Sportsbook price
Tim Easterby's Airplane looks well treated from his mark of 60 to run a big race at double figures.
The 4yo has had something of a poor campaign (hence the rating), but the one bright spot came with his best effort of 2019 at Pontefract. He made the running and finished third from a 2lb higher mark, in what was a deeper race than today's. He gave the impression that he is worth another try at 1m6f.
Quick ground suits and he is best when allowed to lead - which he showed to win from the front at Catterick last term.
He acts at Nottingham, having finished a creditable fourth over course and distance last October. That was a 0-80, and he is in 0-60 company this evening. We also have the four places here for an each-way bet.
