Alan Dudman rounds off his week with two selections at decent prices for Thursday's all-weather fixture at Wolverhampton...
"However, running from 54 here, he's at his lowest-ever mark. He likes the track so hopefully he can go well for jockey Franny Norton."
17:50 Wolverhampton - Dor to lay down the law
Dunstall Park staged a maiden back in March 2016 - a race which Vivre Pour Vivre won, and it's a contest that has produced a couple of half-decent horses.
Vivre Pour Vivre is now rated 85 and ran in some good handicaps last term, whilst the second, third, fourth, sixth, and ninth have all won races since. The fourth was Knights Table (who subsequently scored three times on the spin and is now in the 90s).
So today we can hopefully look to Dor's Law - a filly who finished fifth in the maiden outlined, and she runs from a career-low mark of 58 today.
She travelled sweetly in a handicap at Nottingham during the summer when finishing second. She might have been a bit unlucky from her wide draw, and the fact she met a bit of a dour stayer was tough luck.
Dor's Law had five months off the track prior to her comeback recently over course and distance - and she wasn't knocked about. Her trainer Dean Ivory is in reasonable nick, and looks a massive price.
21:00 Wolverhampton - Bradley's veteran to go well from low mark
Milton Bradley's Spirit Of Gondree has given the impression that a return to winning ways is not too far away, and the price of around 7.06/1 will do for this slightly quirky sort today. Mind you, with my old friend Athletic in the race - he is in the right field!
Spirit Of Gondree ran over course and distance when last seen, and bumped into the consistent Athassel from a wide draw. That effort was his best for a while when finishing second, and he's previously hinted a win could be close when showing a bit at this track two starts back. Athassel has been in very good form, so we cannot knock that effort.
I get the impression he could do with an extra furlong, and he's a bit of a character who can save a bit for himself at the end of a race. The pace could come from Napoleon Solo - as the selection needs a truly run 7f.
However, running from 54 here, he's at his lowest-ever mark. He likes the track so hopefully he can go well for jockey Franny Norton.
