Post can deliver with in-form Whittington on board
14:20 Kempton - Back Wiley Post @ 6.05/1
Jockey Elisha Whittington has fired in four winners in the last ten days, and I am hoping she can add another to that collection with Wiley Post on Monday.
The seven-year-old sprinter was a little unlucky when last seen at Lingfield over 6f. He got caught in a poor position and had too much ground to make up, but he stayed on well to suggest a win won't be too far away.
His current mark of 78 is around the upper reaches of his abilities, but Whittington's 7lb claim is vital to offset some of that rating. Plus she has ridden the horse before to success at Brighton.
A strongly run 5f suits Wiley Post, so the 6f this afternoon at Kempton ought to be fine. He's unexposed on the all-weather too.
Price on Dalgleish runner tempting with new trip
18:25 Wolverhampton - Back Never Be Enough @ 6.25/1
Last night the market on the Sportsbook had the David Evans-trained Snow Enough as the favourite at 13/8, and that's not the sort of price I tend to go for.
Of more appeal is Never Be Enough, and she's a tempting price in a small field at around the 5.59/2 mark on the Exchange.
She has to bounce back following a poor run over hurdles last time, but she can throw in the odd shocker, and anyway, that was a fair old race at Musselburgh.
Keith Dalgleish trains her, and I am positive about her stepping up to 1m4f for Monday evening. She's by Sir Percy after all, so I am not too worried about the distance nor the small field if it becomes tactical. She has form at 1m, and seemed to travel quite nicely winning over that distance in the summer at Hamilton.
As a hold-up performer, expect her to be played late.
