Alan Dudman previews the card at Kempton on Monday, and he likes the look of Roger Charlton's Atty Persse in the feature Listed race...

"He races on the all-weather for the first time on Monday - and that could suit him as a he is a fluent mover with a good action. The draw in 10 isn't ideal, so I anticipate James Doyle to play him late."

Back Atty Persse @ BSP in the 18:00 at Kempton

Elementary for Watson to land opener

16:30 Kempton - Back Watheerah @ BSP

I like to back the Owen Burrows-trained juveniles on their second run, and we can test that theory with the very promising filly Watheerah.

She ran well on her debut in a fillies' maiden at Newmarket. And whilst the form of that race isn't anything special, she created a decent impression when finishing second to a Roger Varian newcomer - but the Burrows' horses tend to improve a lot on their second run.

The presence of the Godolphin colt Al Mureib and Fabiolla might give us around 2/1 on the selection - that's what I am hoping. Al Mureib has plenty of experience and is rated 84 - but he has been turned over in-play at 1.23 and 1.09 previously. He could be one for posting up a lay at a short price to get matched in the race.

Watheerah is the pick, though. Jason Watson rides and she is from the family of Ghanaati - and she won a race around here before a Classic campaign.

Persse to show his class in Listed feature

18:00 Kempton - Back Atty Persse @ BSP

It's hard to make a case for Atty Persse from his last run in August. He was sent off 2/1 favourite in a strong handicap but dropped away tamely. That was over 1m6f, but we didn't even get the chance to assess his stamina as he was beaten well before that.

However, he's got plenty of smart form to his name when he gets it right, and he is a rather interesting contender in this Listed race following wind surgery.

His form includes victories in the Esher Cup, an easy win at Royal Ascot from 93, and a beating of the ill-fated Melbourne Cup contender Hamada. The class is there with him, but he has a few blowouts next to his name.

He races on the all-weather for the first time on Monday - and that could suit him as he is a fluent mover with a good action. The draw in 10 isn't ideal, so I anticipate James Doyle to play him late. Very late.
