Bets Of The Day: Back the Spinner and the Knight at Kempton

Kempton all-weather racing
Two of Alan's selections are going at Kempton

The clock is ticking as Alan is gearing up for the Cheltenham Festival, but beforehand, he is hoping to bag a couple of winners at Kempton on Monday night....

"His three runs to date have all been over 1m4f, so the step to 2m here should bring about some improvement."

Back Knight Crusader @ [8.0] in the 19:30 at Kempton

Consistent Spinner worth an each-way look

19:00 Kempton - Back Roman Spinner @ [8.0]

For sheer consistency it is hard to fault Roman Spinner around Kempton. She's been running with great credit over the winter and deserves to land another prize at her beloved venue.

The way she travelled at the track in January in a slightly better race than today's, suggests she can still win from her current mark of 79. Last time out she would have preferred them to go a bit harder up top and maybe she wasn't as well placed as the winner as she came from quite far back, but that tends to be her way. She stays 1m and has plenty of form over tonight's trip of 7f, and she's tough.

Two miles to unlock some improvement with Knight Crusader

19:30 Kempton - Back Knight Crusader @ [8.0]

Sir Percy's sons and daughters all stay well and want a trip, and that's the thinking here with playing on Knight Crusader.

This is quite a competitive race and the selection goes handicapping for the first time from a mark of 74. His three runs to date have all been over 1m4f, so the step to 2m here should help. He wasn't given a hard time here last time, and he's a decent price to go well.
