Bets Of The Day: It's time for Chico to bounce back at a big price

It's a return to the tipping chair for Alan Dudman on Friday, and he likes the look of a couple of bets at Kempton....

"He has been dropped down to 77, which is far lower than when he started 2018 on the turf this season from a rating of 91."

Back Juanito Chico @ 5.04/1 in Place Market in the 19:45 at Kempton

Inhale to step up from debut run

18:15 Kempton - Back Inhale @ 3.2011/5

The 7f novice event at 18:15 looks a good one, as three top Newmarket trainers John Gosden, Saeed bin Suroor and Roger Varian all have runners (and all make their debuts).

With the trio of HQ titans sending horses, it might boost the price of Amanda Perrett's Inhale - who shaped with abundant promise on debut at Lingfield recently. She looks my best bet of the night. She was priced up at 15/8 on the Sportsbook, so I am hoping we can get around 3.02/1 to 3.2011/5 come the evening.

Her third at 'Leafy' was a real eye-catching run as she was still going nicely at the end when making up ground from the back. She also conceded first run in the race, and the pace was sound. She wasn't given a hard time either.

The filly has plenty of all-weather winners in her pedigree and should get a trip in advance of tonight's distance. She holds experience which is a huge bonus in this sort of race, and I expect her to improve a fair bit from her debut effort.

It's Place Market time for big price Chico

19:45 Kempton - Back Juanito Chico @ 5.04/1 in Place Market

This looks a wide open handicap, but certainly not one to avoid in terms of having a bet in.

Step forward Juanito Chico - who has been given a massive chance by the handicapper. He has been dropped down to 77, which is far lower than when he started 2018 on the turf this season from a rating of 91.

It's not all doom and gloom for the horse, and he ran well in a 0-95 at Epsom in September. He didn't run too badly at Sandown either behind Absolutely So.

This looks his easiest race for a while, although he badly disappointed when last seen at Newmarket. I would put a line through that as he played up in the stalls and had no chance in the race after missing the break.

He is lightly-raced on the all-weather with just one start - and that was at Kempton and he finished second, so he should have no problems with the surface. I am often guilty of overlooking the Place market, so we'll play that way with three places.

This is also a PROMO RACE on the Sportsbook, with the selection priced at 18/1.
