Alan Dudman previews the action at Kempton on Wednesday and has two bets for a good-looking card...

"He looked a very progressive horse earlier this season with handicap wins at Doncaster and Redcar, but he subsequently disappointed in two starts."

Back Gentle Look @ [8.0] in the 19:10 at Kempton

Mour to come from Hedger's C'Est

18:10 Kempton - Back C'Est No Mour @ [12.0]

Kempton stages a good card on Wednesday evening, and as usual, there's a nice mix of novice events and handicaps.

One of the handicaps at 18:10 is part of the London Middle Distance Series, and I am backing Peter Hedger's C'Est No Mour for a return to the all-weather.

The 6yo is better known for being an Epsom specialist - and he recently landed the Amateur Riders' Derby there, and backed up with a placed effort in the Jump Jockeys' Derby.

He is holding his form well and whilst he stays 1m6f, he is best at around 1m4f.

With a record of 5-27 on the turf, he needs to improve on his 0-2 AW tally - and both of those were poor runs around Kempton.

He's well treated from 78 on his turf form of last season and blinkers are applied tonight for the first time.

Gentle has the look of a winner in feature

19:10 Kempton - Back Gentle Look @ [8.0]

The best race of the night is the 19:10, and this looks a good opportunity for Saeed bin Suroor's Gentle Look to get back on track.

He looked a very progressive horse earlier this season with handicap wins at Doncaster and Redcar, but he subsequently disappointed in two starts - although he didn't have an awful lot of luck at Chelmsford.

As one of the three-year-olds in the race, he should be given another a chance to show his quality, and I like the angle of the cheekpieces coming out for the first time.

He has made the running before so it will be interesting to see if jockey Oisin Murphy can get across from his pitch in eight.

Gentle Look has had a slight break and returns after 74 days, and there's some unfinished business with him, as he has a bit more speed than his staying pedigree suggests.
